Volvo Cars was established in 1927 and is a division of Swedish automobile brand Volvo. The headquarters of Volvo Cars are located in Gothenburg, Sweden. Geely Automotive Group acquired the company back in 2010.
The assembly plant for Volvo Auto India is situated outside of Bengaluru, Karnataka. The Volvo S60, Volvo S90, Volvo V90 Cross Country, Volvo XC40, Volvo XC60, and Volvo XC90 are currently included in the company's product lineup in India.
The Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) version of the Volvo XC90 is an option. The only hybrid vehicle offered by the company is this one. In February 2019, the performance division of the marquee, known as Polestar, presented the Polestar 2, an all-electric variant. The same month, Volvo also unveiled a new lineup of hybrid engines that would eventually be offered throughout the entire range of its model lineup.
