The XL750 Transalp is powered by a 755 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine with a 270° crank and generates a power output of 90.5 bhp and 75 Nm of torque. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox featuring an assist and slipper clutch. The top speed of the XL750 is approximately 195 km/h.

The XL750 is equipped with features such as TBW (throttle by wire) along with five riding modes, which are Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel and a fully customisable User mode. The user mode allows the rider to tweak engine power, engine braking, ABS, and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) to their preferences and riding conditions. The HSTC offers five levels of intervention and integrates wheelie control, with the option to deactivate rear ABS and traction control for off-road use. The 5-inch TFT display supports Bluetooth connectivity, including Honda Smartphone Voice Control for seamless integration with Android and iOS devices. Additional features include dual-channel ABS, an emergency stop signal, a USB charging port, and LED lighting throughout the bike.

The XL750 features Showa 43 mm SFF-CATM upside-down front forks (200 mm travel) and a rear mono-shock (190 mm travel). The other elements are its 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, paired with dual-purpose tyres. The braking system is managed by twin 310 mm front discs and a 256 mm rear disc.

The design elements of the XL750 are its tall, aerodynamic visor, dual LED projector headlamps and large shrouds. The fairing and windscreen are sculpted for optimal wind protection and reduced buffeting at speed, enhancing comfort on long rides. The rear features an aluminium carrier and integrated LED taillamps. The other elements are its high-spec Ni-SiC plated cylinders for reduced friction and increased durability and a hybrid swingarm.
