Latest Update: In April 2025, Honda patented the PCX160 maxi-scooter. This flagship scooter is available in Southeast Asian markets, and now Honda is planning to launch this maxi scooter in the Indian two-wheeler market. With its India debut, Honda PCX160 will become the brand’s first scooter in this segment.
Like most maxi-scooters, the Honda PCX160 has a larger size and a prominent road presence. It has a sharp design language with LED headlights and a large windscreen. Additionally, Honda provides a setup design for the seat, upswept exhaust, and noticeable lines on the body panels. The rear profile of the scooter comprises a distinctive tail light design with an X element.
The all-new Honda PCX160 draws power from a 157cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, producing 16 horsepower and 14.7 Nm of torque. The engine unit of the PCX160 maxi-scooter is said to deliver 45 km/l of fuel mileage. The upcoming Honda scooter gets 31 mm telescopic forks in the front and twin shock absorbers in the rear. Moreover, the scooter rides on a 14-inch front and 13-inch rear wheel.
Talking about features, the Honda PCX160 maxi scooter sports an LCD screen to display vehicle information. It also has features like single-channel ABS, USB-C charging port, front storage, keyless ignition, and 30-liter underseat storage.
Expected Price & Rivals
Honda PCX160 price in India may start from Rs 1,20,000, ex-showroom. While the launch date of the PCX160 maxi scooter is not confirmed, if Honda launches it in the Indian two-wheeler market, the model will compete against Yamaha Aerox 155 and Hero Xoom 160.
