Latest Update: Hero Electric AE-29 was first showcased at Auto Expo 2020, where it was claimed to have a top speed of 55 km/h. The electric scooter was presented along with the AE-47 motorcycle and AE-3 trike. Initially, Hero debuted this model with a 1kW electric motor and a 3.5kWh battery pack.
In full charge, the Hero AE-29 was claimed to deliver 80 km of range, and its battery pack can be fully charged in 4 hours.
After its official debut in 2020, Hero Electric AE-29 is now expected to launch in August 2025, with an expected price range of Rs 85,000 to Rs 90,000.
However, limited details about the specifications of the upcoming Hero Electric AE-29 scooter are available. Still, the model is expected to be equipped with several key features like a mobile charging port, anti-theft alarm, walk and reverse assist, and Bluetooth-enabled digital instrument cluster.
Unlike other electric scooters, Hero seems to position the AE-29 as a more affordable option for customers. Therefore, there may be some limited technical specifications offered, including compromised size of instrument display and availability of drum brakes instead of disc units.

Hero Electric AE-29's expected price in India may range from Rs 85,000 to Rs 90,000. Upon launching in India’s electric scooter market, the model will compete with Ampere Magnus, Ola Electric S1 Pro Gen 2, and Raftaar Cruzer R1.
