Upcoming car launch in August 2023

August 2023 has a list of launches lined up, in which both entry-level cars and luxury cars are included. We have numerous new launches, mostly in the luxury segment. Tata Motors will add a CNG powertrain to the Punch, and Toyota plans to launch a Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, MPV.

In the luxury segment, Mercedes-Benz will present the second version of one of its best-selling SUVs, while Volvo and Audi will offer two electric SUVs. Below is the list of products that will be launching in August.

Upcoming Cars in India in 2023

1. Tata Punch CNG

• Tata Motors introduced Punch CNG at the Auto Expo earlier this year. The Punch will be Tata's fourth CNG model and the second model to feature a new twin-cylinder fuel tank. The 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine will be migrated from the petrol version to a 5-speed manual transmission.

• It will produce 86 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque in petrol mode, while it will produce 77 horsepower and 97 Nm of torque in CNG mode. Initially, Punch CNG will compete with the existing Exter CNG.

2. Second Generation Mercedes-Benz GLC

• Mercedes-Benz India will introduce the second generation of the GLC SUV on 9th August , which made its global debut last year. The GLC 300 will be offered in petrol and GLC 220d diesel versions, both of which will be equipped with Mercedes' 4Matic all-wheel drive system.

• Both engines have a displacement of 2.0 liters and have a 48-volt integrated starter for an additional 23 horsepower.The SUV interior, dominated by two screens—a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch vertical touchscreen—is almost identical to the new C-Class.

3.Audi Q8 e-tron

• The Audi Q8 e-tron has just surfaced in India and need essentially a makeover of the Audi e-tron SUV which will be launching on August 18. The Q8 e-tron is also available in SUV and coupe body variants and features a redesigned front fascia, rear bumper and B-pillars with 'Audi' and 'Q8 e-tron quattro' lettering.

• As before, the Q8 e-tron is available in 50 and 55 trims with battery capacities of 95 kWh and 114 kWh, respectively. The larger battery has a range of 600 miles on a single charge. The two electric motors in the Q8 e-tron produce 408 hp and 664 Nm of torque (combined). Audi says the Q8 e-tron can support DC fast charging up to 170 kW.

4. Toyota Rumion

• Toyota will release a small MPV called Rumion. Based on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the Rumion MPV was designed and built by Maruti Suzuki and produced in markets such as South Africa.

• Like all Maruti Suzuki and Toyota brands, it is mechanically similar to the model on which it is based. It comes with a 103 hp, 137 Nm, 1.5-liter petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.

5. Volvo C40 Recharge

• Volvo plans to launch its second electric car in India, the C40 Recharge, with deliveries starting in September. It's very similar to the XC40 Recharge, except for the sloping roofline and steeply sloping rear window. However, both EVs have the same internal configuration and both feature a 9.0-inch vertical touchscreen.

• Based on Volvo's CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform, the C40 Recharge has two engines producing 408 hp and 660 Nm of torque. Its 78 kWh battery has a range of up to 530km (WLTP).

6. Hyundai Creta, Alcazar Adventure Edition

• Hyundai is planning a special edition for Creta and Alcazar, possibly called Adventure Edition. Adventure, which will replace the Rider Edition of Crete, will be Alcazar's first exclusive game. Changes are visual only.

• Both SUVs will have the new "Ranger Khaki" look introduced at Exter, an all-black interior and possibly contrasting stitching.There will be no changes under the hood of the SUV.
