Latest Update: Benelli, a renowned Chinese motorcycle manufacturer, is ready to launch the latest version of the 302R sports bike. The Benelli 302 is already available in China for CNY 29,800 (approx Rs 3,58,000). While the launch date is not confirmed, it's anticipated that the motorcycle can be launched this year.
Benelli 302R is equipped with a 302cc parallel-twin motor capable of producing 35.35 bhp and 27 Nm of torque. While the power delivery is comparatively low compared to the BS4 variant of this motorcycle, Benelli has compensated for it by reducing its weight by 18 kg.
It's said to have a 41mm USD fork suspension with some preload adjustability for the front end, while the rear mono-shock continues to be offered for the rear. There could be some upgrades in the braking department as well. The brand would offer traditional rotors instead of twin-petal discs.
The upcoming Benelli 302R will have sleek bodywork instead of bulky cladding. It will feature vertically positioned projector lights and a redesigned rear profile with LED taillight and air vents under the pillion seat. Instead of analog, the motorcycle can offer a digital instrument console with a TFT screen. It will have an odometer, speedometer, position indicator, fuel level stat, and engine temperature bar.
Expected Price & Rivals
While the launch date is not confirmed, the Benelli 302R is expected to have a price tag of Rs 3.60 lakh in India. If launched, it will compete against the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and KTM RC 390.
