Latest Update: Kawasaki is reportedly readying to launch one of the most anticipated Z400 motorcycles in India in 2025. The Kawasaki Z400 launch in India can be a significant move by the brand to strengthen its entry-level performance lineup and potentially replace its aging Z250. Additionally, the Z400 motorcycle is built on the same platform as in Kawasaki Ninja 400.
The Z400 is essentially the Ninja 400 if we remove the fairing from the motorcycle. It is powered by the same 399cc parallel twin motor, which produces 43.5PS and 37 Nm of torque.
The entry-level sports bike from Kawasaki has a 41mm telescopic front fork at the front and preload-adjustable mono-shock suspension at the rear. The motorcycle also gets 310mm front disc and 220mm rear disc brakes. It has 17-inch wheels on both ends, with 110/70 front and 150/60 tires in the rear.
As per the available sources, the bike comes in two color options, black/orange and black/green, and has an upright seating position. The motorcycle manufacturer has ensured an aggressive design with subtle but sharp lines. It gets a twin headlamp setup with a curved stance and a fully digital instrument cluster. This upcoming Kawasaki motorcycle has a sloping fuel tank, upswept exhaust, and standard paintwork.
Expected Price & Rivals
Kawasaki Z400 can launch in India in October 2025, priced at Rs 4,00,000, ex-showroom. Once launched, the Z400 sports bike will compete against the Aprilia RS 457, KTM Duke 390, BMW G 310R, and Yamaha R3.
