Latest Update: The Royal Enfield 650cc series includes six models after the debut of the Classic 650 motorcycle. However, India’s popular two-wheeler manufacturer is gearing up to extend the lineup even further with the launch of the all-new Royal Enfield Himalayan 650 motorcycle.
It is speculated to feature a powerful parallel twin engine, and the motorcycle has already been spied several times and tested on Indian roads. The upcoming Himalayan 650 seems to have a new chassis and could launch in December 2025.
The Royal Enfield 650 motorcycle will be built on an entirely new chassis and can be the first motorcycle from the brand not to feature an overtly retro design. It will underpin telescopic upside-down forks in the front and rear mono-shock.
The adventure motorcycle from Royal Enfield will ride on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear with disc brakes on both ends. The 650 Himalayan would possibly have the same circular LED headlamp offered in other RE models. It may get a Dakar rally-inspired design with a vertical windscreen and side fairings that goes into the fuel tank. The upcoming Himalayan 650 will also have a rectangular TFT instrument panel.
Expected Price & Rivals
While the launch date is not confirmed, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 650 will likely launch in India by December this year. The RE 650 Himalayan is expected to be priced at Rs 3,80,000. Under the mid-budget adventure motorcycle segment, the all-new Himalayan 650 will compete against the KTM 390 Adventure, Triumph Scrambler 400X, and Yezdi Adventure Motorcycle.
