Exterior & Design
Maruti Suzuki Fronx is a sub 4 meter compact crossover SUV. In the front it gets NEXA signature tri element DRLs with nex-wave pattern grille. The LED headlamps are placed in the bumper below the DRLs and come with 3 reflector units (2 for low beam and 1 for high beam). There's no front or rear fog lamps on offer. In the rear, it gets connected tail lamp design with vertical design reflectors in the lower bumper.
Looking at the side profile, it comes with 16 inch diamond cut alloys. The thick cladding runs all around the vehicle with a major chunk of it on the wheel arch. Also, it gets silver colour finishing lower down the front & rear bumper along with silver finish side skirtings.
Interior & Features
Maruti Suzuki has loaded the Fronx with almost all the features that the Brezza gets. Some of these include 360 camera, auto dimming IRVM, 9 inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless android auto/apple carplay, HUD, etc. Moreover, compared to Baleno, it also gets wireless charger. However, it still misses out on a sunroof, which is present in the Brezza.
Engine, Transmission & Mileage
Maruti Suzuki offers two powertrain options in Fronx. The first one being a 1.2 litre K series naturally aspirated petrol with either 5 speed manual or 5 speed AMT auto gearbox. The second one is the Boosterjet 1 litre turbo petrol engine with either 5 speed manual or 6 speed torque converter automatic. One can also go with the 1.2 litre NA engine with CNG bi-fuel option & 5 speed manual gearbox.
The NA engine generates 90 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque with a claimed mileage of 21.79 Km/L in manual transmission option and 22.89 Km/L in AMT option. In CNG, it produces 77.5 PS of power and 98.5 Nm of torque with a mileage of 28.51 km/kg. The Boosterjet turbo engine generates 100 PS of power and 147.6 Nm of torque with a claimed mileage of 21.5 Km/L in manual transmission option and 20.01 Km/L in torque converter AT option.
Dimensions
It measure 3,995 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width, 1,550 mm in height and 2,520 mm in wheelbase. Its boot space stand at 308 litres and ground clearance is around 190 mm. Also, its minimum turning radius is just 4.9 m.
Variants & Colours
Maruti offers Fronx in 10 different colour options including 3 dual tone ones with black roof. On the variants front, customers of naturally aspirated engine or CNG can choose from 3 variants and those who opt for Boosterjet turbo engine can choose from 2 variants.
