Tata has finally Launched the Punch EV in India. The electric micro SUV is based on Tata's new acti.ev (Advanced Connected Tech- Intelligent Electric Vehicle) architecture. This is Tata's first advanced Pure EV architecture, with Punch EV being the first product to be based on it.

Exterior & Design
Tata Punch EV carries the same family design language of the new Tata Nexon EV. The front end of the Punch EV looks extremely identical to Nexon EV with the inclusion of a connected LED lightbar design, bi-functional LED headlamps, side air curtains in the front bumper, etc. In the rear, it looks more or less the same as the ICE powered Punch.
Interior & Features
The Punch EV gets a number of advanced tech and comfort features that the ICE powered Punch misses out on. These include electric parking brake with auto hold, ventilated front seats, 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment, 10.25 inch fully digital drivers display, air purifier with AQI display, etc. Tata has also added 360 degree camera with rear blind view monitor in the Punch EV.
Moreover, just like the ICE Punch, the Punch EV too gives customers an option to go with or without a sunroof.
Battery & Motor
Tata Punch EV will come in two options i.e. a standard range and a long range. The standard range version will only come with a 3.3 kW AC home charging option and the long range version will come with option of both a 3.3 kW and a 7.2 kW AC home charging option. However, Tata is yet to reveal the exact battery capacity, certified driving range and motor details of the new Punch EV.
Segment & Rivals
Tata Punch EV sits between the Nexon EV and Tigor EV in Tata's EV lineup. Moreover, with an expected price range of Rs 10 to 15 lakh (ex-showroom), it rivals the likes of Citroen eC3, MG Comet EV and Tata's own Tigor EV and the lower variants of Nexon EV.
