Latest Update: Based on the CMP platform underpinning other C3 series models, Citroen C3X is an upcoming mid-size sedan in the Indian market. The model features some design cues from the C3 Aircross, including high ground clearance and larger wheels. It will look similar to the C4X and C5X sold in European markets.
The Citroen C3X has a tapered roofline and coupe-like styling, making it stand out from other mid-size sedans. It is expected to measure around 4.3-4.4 meters in length and have a wheelbase similar to the Citroen C3 Aircross.
The French automobile manufacturer may offer a fully digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch infotainment system, 3-spoke steering wheels, comfortable seats with a heating function, and HVAC controls in this upcoming crossover sedan. For safety, the crossover sedan would sport up to six airbags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring, and a reverse parking camera.
The Citroen C3X can be powered by a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine, producing 110 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. The motor can come mated with a 6-speed manual transmission. Some sources claim that after the launch of Citroen C3X, the automaker can also launch the electric version of the C3X crossover sedan in the next 6-8 months.
Expected Price & Rivals
Citroen C3X's expected price in India can start from Rs 7 lakh, making it a strong rival of the Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, Hyundai Aura, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, and Honda Amaze.
