Rolls-Royce launches the Spectre Black Badge in India at ₹9.50 crore, making it the most powerful production EV from the brand.
Rolls-Royce has officially introduced the Spectre Black Badge in India at a staggering ₹9.50 crore (ex-showroom), making it the most expensive and most powerful all-electric vehicle from the iconic British marque. This launch follows its global unveiling in February 2025 and marks the arrival of the first-ever Black Badge treatment on a fully electric Rolls-Royce.
The Spectre Black Badge is equipped with dual electric motors, one on each axle, generating a combined output of 650 bhp and 1,075 Nm of torque. This makes it the most potent series-production vehicle ever made by Rolls-Royce. The 0–100 km/h sprint is dispatched in just 4.1 seconds, an astonishing figure for a car of its size and luxury stature.
In keeping with the brand’s philosophy of “effortless performance”, the EV features multiple drive modes, including a new ‘Infinity Mode’ that unlocks the full performance potential. A bespoke launch control system, dubbed ‘Spirited Mode’, has also been integrated, enhancing acceleration capabilities.
At its core lies a 102 kWh battery pack, offering an impressive WLTP-claimed range of 493–530 km on a full charge. This ensures that the Spectre Black Badge delivers not only power but also long-distance touring capability befitting the Rolls-Royce name.
Rolls-Royce has made a series of mechanical revisions to further distinguish the Black Badge variant from the standard Spectre. These include:
Together, these changes ensure a more engaging and controlled driving experience, tailored for those who seek more than just serene luxury.
True to the Black Badge identity, the Spectre receives an extensive aesthetic transformation. Key design changes include:
The model also features 23-inch five-spoke forged aluminium wheels, available in part-polished or all-black finishes. A customisable backplate behind the grille allows owners to add a personalised splash of colour, adding to the Spectre’s already bespoke ethos.
Inside, the Spectre Black Badge continues to redefine automotive opulence. One of the standout features is the illuminated fascia, which now incorporates the infinity symbol, a hallmark of all Black Badge Rolls-Royces. The star-studded panel includes 5,500 individual 'stars' set in a piano black backdrop, creating a celestial motif that is both futuristic and elegant.
Drivers can also personalise the digital instrument cluster with five different colour themes, adding another layer of customisation to the cockpit experience. At the heart of the vehicle's tech suite is ‘Spirit’, Rolls-Royce’s all-new digital operating system, offering seamless connectivity and intuitive control.
With the launch of the Spectre Black Badge, Rolls-Royce elevates its EV ambitions while staying true to its rich legacy of craftsmanship, performance, and exclusivity. For Indian buyers seeking the ultimate expression of electric luxury with a touch of rebellious elegance, the Spectre Black Badge is an unmatched statement.
