Latest Update: Yamaha NMax 155 is one of the upcoming scooters in India under the maxi-scooter segment. The scooter is built on the same platform as available in the Aerox 155 and powered by an engine offered in the R154 and MT-15 V2. The Yamaha NMax scooter was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, marking its second appearance in India after its first debut at the 2024 expo.
Starting with the engine, the upcoming Yamaha NMax 155 is powered by a 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, producing 15.1PS and 13.5Nm of torque, and paired with a CVT gearbox. The same engine setup is offered in the existing range of Yamaha Aerox, Yamaha R15 V4, and Yamaha MT-15 V2.
The NMax 155 features a maxi-scooter design with a large, aggressive apron, tall windscreen, and twin-pod headlight setup. The scooter also gets predominantly blacked-out panels. To make it comfortable during city rides and longer journeys, Yamaha has equipped it with a fleet-forward seating position. It sports a fully digital LCD instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, keyless start function, and traction control, along with all LED headlight setups.
Additionally, the Yamaha scooter features 14-inch alloy wheels, telescopic forks in front, and dual-shock absorbers at the rear. It has a 7.1-liter fuel tank capacity and boasts a curb weight of 131 kg.
Price & Rivals
The all-new Yamaha NMax 155 scooter is expected to launch by the end of 2025 at Rs 1.50 lakh to Rs 1.60 lakh. After launching in the Indian two-wheeler market, it will rival the Aprilia SXR 160, Hero Xoom 160, Vespa VXL 125, and Vespa 125.
