
Latest Update: The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara was first unveiled at the Auto Expo 2025 and is speculated to go on sale in India in September 2025. Maruti e Vitara will be the first electric car from Maruti Suzuki India. The model will be sold in India and exported to select international markets per the available sources.
Design
Maruti e Vitara will have a Polyhedral muscular stance with a futuristic front fascia. It will get innovative headlamps in the front with NEXTre 3-point matrix LED DRLs. It will have a sculpted 3D appearance from the side profile and get R18 aerodynamic alloy wheels for a more futuristic appeal. Additionally, the rear profile will feature NEXTre 3-point matrix rear lamps. The new Suzuki e Vitara will get major design upgrades from the Maruti Grand Vitara sold in India. It will also have a rugged bumper and sculpted bonnet with prominent grooves.
Features
For the interior features, the upcoming e Vitara SUV will be equipped with a dual-tone interior theme comprising Brown and Black colors. It will also get a new two-spoke steering wheel, a 10.1-inch infotainment system, and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster. Maruti has also provided leatherette seat upholstery and a sunroof with fixed glass, a wireless charger, a twin-deck floating console with a shift by wire, and ambient lighting with multi-color illumination.
The extended wheelbase, ventilated seats, 10-way power adjustable driver seat, sliding and reclining rear seats, and expandable boot space will add to the practicality of this electric SUV from Maruti.
Safety
The Maruti e-Vitara will be a premium product from Maruti Suzuki India. It will have various safety and tech features to make each ride convenient and safe for the occupants. The electric SUV is said to have a Level 2 ADAS system and a host of advanced safety features.
Powertrain
Maruti has developed a pure electric platform called HEARTECT-e that blends performance with cutting-edge innovation and efficiency. On the same platform, the new e Vitara is built and offered with two lithium-iron-phosphate battery pack options. The entry-level 49kWh battery pack is offered in the base model and paired with a single electric motor, while the 61kWh battery pack option is given in higher-spec variants. The Maruti e Vitara SUV will be available in FWD and 4WD options. The 49 kWh battery option will deliver a top range of 346 km, while the 61 kWh option will offer up to 428 km of range.
Price & Rivals
Maruti e Vitara price in India is expected to range between Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh, ex-showroom. The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will compete directly with the Hyundai Creta EV, the Mahindra BE6, the MG ZS EV, and the Tata Curvv.
The expected price for Maruti e Vitara is likely to be in the range of 20.00 Lakh to 25.00 Lakh.
