Suzuki launches the 2025 Hayabusa in India at ₹16.90 lakh with three new colour options and OBD-2B compliance while retaining its iconic styling and performance.
Suzuki Motorcycle India has officially launched the MY2025 iteration of its legendary flagship sportbike, the Hayabusa, in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 16.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the latest model retains the same price tag as before but gets a few subtle updates in the form of new colour options and updated emissions compliance.
While the mechanical and feature aspects remain untouched, the 2025 Hayabusa now comes finished in three new dual-tone paint schemes, adding a touch of freshness to its iconic silhouette. Buyers can now choose from Metallic Mat Steel Green / Glass Sparkle Black, Glass Sparkle Black / Metallic Mat Titanium Silver, and Metallic Mystic Silver / Pearl Vigour Blue.
Despite these cosmetic revisions, the overall design of the motorcycle continues to reflect the bold, aerodynamic styling that the third-generation Hayabusa is known for, complete with its wide stance, aggressive front end, and sculpted bodywork.
It is worth noting that while the global version of the Hayabusa recently received updated electronic rider aids, the India-spec 2025 model does not incorporate these changes. As a result, the motorcycle continues with its current suite of electronics, which includes a power mode selector, Bi-directional Quick Shift System, Cruise Control, Launch Control System, and Motion Track Traction Control System
These features, while not the most cutting-edge by global superbike standards, still offer ample performance and rider customisation for both street and track use.
The key functional update to the 2025 Hayabusa is its compliance with the latest OBD-2B norms, ensuring that the bike aligns with India’s updated emission regulations. Beyond this, Suzuki has not made any changes to the powertrain.
The motorcycle continues to draw power from a 1,340 cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, inline-four-cylinder engine, which produces 187 bhp at 9,700 rpm and 150 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. Mated to a six-speed gearbox, the Hayabusa delivers explosive performance with a claimed 0-100 km/h time of under 3 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 299 km/h.
There are no alterations to the chassis, suspension, or braking hardware either. The Hayabusa continues to ride on an aluminium twin-spar frame, with fully adjustable KYB suspension at both ends and Brembo Stylema callipers up front for sharp braking performance. The motorcycle runs on 17-inch wheels and features a low-slung 800 mm seat height, making it relatively accessible for a wide range of riders.
While the 2025 Suzuki Hayabusa update may be minimal, the addition of new colours and compliance with OBD-2B norms ensures the motorcycle stays fresh and road-legal. However, enthusiasts looking for the latest electronic aids might be disappointed by the absence of global-spec updates. Still, with its legendary performance credentials and iconic status, the Hayabusa remains one of the most revered sportbikes in the Indian market.
For those seeking sheer acceleration, street presence, and a touch of nostalgia, the 2025 Hayabusa still delivers in full measure, now with a bit more visual flair.
