Get insight for Bajaj's highly anticipated releases in 2024: Pulsar NS400, New Chetak Variant, and an eco-friendly CNG-powered bike. Stay tuned for more details.
Key Highlights:
Bajaj Auto has announced a series of exciting additions to its lineup, showcasing a robust push toward innovation and market expansion. The revelation came during a post-earnings call by the company's Executive Director, Rakesh Sharma, who shed light on the forthcoming launches set to redefine the landscape of the automotive industry.
Bajaj Auto’s Executive Director Rakesh Sharma stated “In the domestic motorcycle market, we grew at twice the rate of the industry in the October-December quarter. But our focus is on the top half of the industry, the 125cc plus segment, where we grew three times the rate of the industry. As a result, our market share went close to 31 per cent which is a striking distance of leadership. This has been achieved on the back of some good launches.”
Bajaj Auto is gearing up to introduce the much-awaited Pulsar NS400, a powerhouse addition to its acclaimed Pulsar lineup. Equipped with a formidable 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine capable of generating 40 bhp and 35 Nm of peak torque, the Pulsar NS400 is primed to compete fiercely in the premium motorcycle segment, competing with rivals such as the KTM Duke 390 and the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
Moreover, among the highly anticipated releases is a new variant of Bajaj's flagship electric scooter, Chetak, which has been instrumental in promoting the company's electric vehicle vision forward. Scheduled for release in the first quarter of the upcoming fiscal year, the new Chetak variant aims to capture a broader market share by offering a more affordable option compared to its predecessors, by falling between the price range of Rs 1.1 lakh and 1.2 lakh. This strategic move will challenge the dominance of established players in the electric two-wheeler segment, including Ather, Ola, and TVS Motor.
Bajaj Auto is also making strides towards eco-friendly mobility solutions with the development of a groundbreaking CNG-powered motorcycle. While details remain classified about this innovative model, speculations suggest that it will belong to the 100-125cc category, underscoring Bajaj's commitment to environment-orient transportation approach.
Furthermore, the company is actively expanding its network to support its burgeoning electric vehicle endeavors, with plans underway to increase the availability of its electric scooters across more cities in the country.
Overall, Bajaj Auto's ambitious product launches and network expansion initiatives underscore its unwavering determination to fortify its foothold in the Indian two-wheeler market. With the impending launch of the new Chetak variant, the formidable Pulsar NS400, and the pioneering CNG-powered motorcycle, Bajaj Auto is poised to chart new heights of success, reshaping the trajectory of the automotive industry in India.
