Ducati is again in the headlines now. The Italian superbike manufacturer has officially introduced the most popular, Panigale V4 Tricolore, a limited edition, featuring a tri-color scheme inspired by the Italian flag. With only 1000 units available globally, this model comes with a unique design and advanced features.
The Panigale V4 Tricolore is based on the updated Panigale V4 platform and features a bespoke paint scheme inspired by the Italian flag. This special edition features a vibrant red, white, and green livery, along with distinctive racing motifs that pay homage to Ducati's rich motorsport history. Each bike is equipped with a billet aluminum steering plate that displays its unique production number which enhances its exclusivity.
In terms of performance, the V4 Tricolore is fitted with Brembo T-Drive finned brake discs of 338 mm, the largest on any production motorcycle. These discs are designed to provide exceptional stopping power, similar to those used in World Superbike Racing. Additionally, the bike also has carbon-fiber wheels, which not only reduce unsprung weight by nearly 950 grams but also contribute to improved handling and control.
This limited edition superbike is powered by a 1103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine which is capable of producing 216 hp at 13,500 rpm and 120.9 Nm of torque at 11,250 rpm.
This mechanical marvel is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with Ducati Quick Shift Technology to enable buttery-smooth gear shifts for a world-class riding experience.
Moreover, this super machine is also equipped with a dry clutch system similar to the V4 R for its track-ready performance. Despite its lightweight carbon fiber components, the Tricolore weighs in at 188 kg (wet), slightly heavier than its predecessor due to additional features.
Ducati has equipped the Panigale V4 Tricolore with top-notch technology to enhance rider experience and safety. The superbike includes an advanced Öhlins electronic suspension system that allows precise adjustments in compression and rebound damping. Riders will benefit from multiple riding modes, traction control, wheelie control, and slide control, all designed to optimise performance under various conditions.
Talking about the instrument cluster, it comes with a modern 6.9-inch TFT display that provides essential information about the bike and also is integrated with navigation capabilities. The bike also features adjustable footpegs and a suite of rider aids that ensure maximum control and stability.
The Ducati Panigale V4 Tricolore not only represents an extraordinary level of engineering but also serves as a tribute to Ducati’s racing legacy. As this limited-edition supermodel makes its debut, enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for its availability in the markets worldwide, including potential entry into India.
