The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, set to commence on January 17 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, Delhi, is poised to be a landmark event for electric vehicle (EV) enthusiasts. Renamed “The Motor Show,” this six-day event will witness the unveiling and showcasing of a plethora of cutting-edge EVs, with 34 manufacturers confirmed to participate, including prominent players like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, Mahindra, and newcomers such as Vietnam-based VinFast.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara
Marking its foray into the Indian EV market, Maruti Suzuki will showcase the production-ready e Vitara, the brand’s first passenger electric vehicle. Based on the eVX concept unveiled in 2023, the e Vitara will compete in the compact SUV EV segment alongside the Tata Curvv EV and Mahindra BE 6e.
Sized similar to the Grand Vitara, the e Vitara combines practicality with cutting-edge technology.
Hyundai Creta EV and Ioniq 9
Hyundai is bringing two electric SUVs to the expo:
Tata Harrier EV and Sierra EV
Tata Motors, a leader in India’s EV market, will showcase production-ready versions of two highly anticipated models:
Mahindra XUV700 EV (XEV 7e)
Following the launch of the XEV 9e and BE 5e, Mahindra is likely to unveil the XUV700-based EV. Spotted testing on Indian roads, the XEV 7e is expected to offer powerful performance while maintaining the luxurious appeal of its ICE counterpart.
Kia EV4
Kia is expected to debut its compact electric SUV, the EV4, a global model positioned below the EV6 and EV5. Likely in concept form, it will target competitors like the e Vitara and Creta EV in India.
BYD Seagull
Chinese giant BYD will showcase its popular Seagull EV, a hatchback equipped with two battery options offering a range of up to 400 km. While its India launch remains unconfirmed, the Seagull promises affordability and practicality.
VinFast VF e34
Making its Indian debut, Vietnam’s VinFast will present the VF e34, a compact SUV equipped with a 41.9 kWh battery offering a range of 318 km. The carmaker is also constructing a facility in Tamil Nadu, signaling its long-term commitment to the Indian market.
MG Cyberster
JSW MG Motor will reveal the Cyberster EV, a two-seater electric roadster for performance enthusiasts.
