Hero Xoom 160, India's First ADV Maxi-Scooter, poised to revolutionise the premium scooter segment. With powerful engines, rugged design, and competitive pricing, Hero challenges established players. Launch imminent.
Hero MotoCorp, a leading player in the Indian two-wheeler market, is gearing up for an exciting launch in the coming weeks. The much-anticipated Hero Xoom 160 is set to make its debut, marking the company's foray into the premium scooter segment. With its distinctive design and promising specifications, the Xoom 160 is poised to challenge established players in the market.
The development of the Hero Xoom 160 has been underway for some time, and enthusiasts got a glimpse of what's to come at the recent Bharat Mobility Expo, where the ADV scooter was unveiled. According to industry insiders, the scooter is slated to hit the showroom floors in a few weeks, generating significant buzz among scooter enthusiasts and industry observers alike.
Hero Xoom 160 will come with a 156cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, a notable feature in the sub-200cc segment. With power figures of 14bhp at 8,000rpm and torque of 13.7Nm at 6,500rpm, the Xoom 160 promises an exhilarating ride experience. While these specifications are based on the pre-production model, experts anticipate minimal deviation in the figures for the production version.
One of the most striking aspects of the Hero Xoom 160 is its ADV-inspired design. The front apron boasts split LED headlights and a tall windscreen, exuding a rugged yet stylish appeal. The scooter's side profile embodies the essence of a maxi-scooter, characterized by long body panels, a central spine, and a sleek tail section. While initial impressions are positive, the true test of the scooter's quality and finish will come with hands-on experience.
In terms of pricing, industry sources suggest that the Hero Xoom 160 is expected to carry a price tag of around Rs. 1.3 lakh, ex-showroom. This places it in direct competition with established contenders such as the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the Aprilia SXR 160.
As anticipation builds for the launch of the Hero Xoom 160, all eyes are on Hero MotoCorp to see how the new entrant will fare against its rivals. With its blend of style, performance, and affordability, the Xoom 160 has the potential to shake up the status quo and redefine the premium scooter segment in India. Stay tuned for more updates as the launch date draws near.
