The motorcycles belong to Honda's well-known 650 sector that's famous for performance-oriented designs and advanced applications. CB650R as a naked bike with minimal styling, while CBR650R is a fully-faired one meant for speed and quick handling. Both sport a good engine and lots of features aimed at improving the riding experience.
Both models are powered by an Inline-four with a displacement of 649cc, producing around 87 hp at 12,000 rpm and 57.5 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm. Each of these engines is coupled with a six-speed transmission that promises smooth gear engagement with astounding acceleration.
While the CB650R is that neo-sports café-style bike with its LED round headlamp, minimalistic bodywork, and a comfortably upright riding position, in contrast CBR650R boasts of an aggressive attitude, showing stout lines and a fairing aerodynamically traded to look hot and sporty.
Both motorcycles use a lightweight and agile steel frame, which benefits their nimble handling capabilities. The CB650R now has Showa Separate Function Forks (SFF) at the front, while the CBR650R has a similar frontend suspension setup and uses a monoshock design in rear for enhanced stability.
Both models have their safety as paramount with dual-channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) as standard to prevent the wheel lock during situations of emergency stops.
Riders can appreciate the modern digital instrument cluster that provides vital needed information regarding speed, fuel0level, and trip data. Both models also enjoy full-LED lighting for more visibility.
The pricing is competitive for both, the relaunching model Honda CB650R and CBR650R. While the CB650R is priced at Rs 9.20 lakh, the CBR650R is priced at Rs 9.35 lakh (both ex-showroom). This pricing strategy aims to keep in mind both entrants into the world of biking for first-time big bikes and an upgrade for veterans.
