Honda ready to launch the ZR-V Hybrid SUV in late 2025. Powered by a 2.0L engine and dual electric motors, it can offers 181 hp of power, advanced tech, and premium safety features.
Honda is now ready to launch the ZR-V, a hybrid model at the end of 2025. We can expect this compact SUV with advanced technology. As it can be a new attempt from Hondato bounce back in the market as we have observed the decline in sales.
This hybrid SUV can come with a 2.0-liter petrol engine and dual electric motors, it is anticipated to produce 181 horsepower of power and 315 Nm of torque. Paired with an electric CVT gearbox, the SUV promises a smooth, responsive ride. On the outside, it flaunts a sleek profile with sharp LED headlamps, vertical-slatted grille, sporty alloy wheels, and bold LED tail lamps that give it a modern, road-ready vibe.
The cabin delivers a cutting-edge technological experience as you go inside. The main feature is a 9-inch touchscreen with USB-C connections, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a high-end Bose sound system. A clear 10.2-inch digital display is provided to drivers, and daily convenience is increased by amenities like wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, and over-the-air upgrades. Honda's SENSING suite, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, collision alerts, and more, puts safety first.
This sub-4 metre SUV will be 4.56 meters long and it will compete with SUVs like Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. It will be a CBU vehicle so price can go higher. In India, where its SUV journey has witnessed highs and lows, the introduction represents a new chapter for Honda. Launched in 2016, the BR-V was a seven-seater that gained many enthusiasts with its roomy cabin and 5-star safety certification. However, it underperformed against competitors and was phased out by 2020. The WR-V, a small SUV built on the Jazz chassis, on the other hand, was an unexpected success. It was introduced in 2017 and sold 50,000 units in its first year because of its sporty styling, fuel economy, and appeal to youthful urban consumers.
With the ZR-V Hybrid, Honda hopes to blend the WR-V’s success with a greener, more premium pitch. As India’s car buyers increasingly eye hybrid options, Honda’s latest offering could carve a niche—if it strikes the right balance between innovation, style, and value. All eyes are now on 2025 to see if this hybrid newcomer can shift gears in Honda’s India story.
