The automaker announced that the concept will be showcased at an event in Mumbai as part of its global tour. The electric GT concept was first revealed in Paris, followed by London. Jaguar Type 00 Concept

Marking a new direction towards building and extending its portfolio around electric models, the Jaguar Type 00 Concept is the first model from Jaguar after its major rebranding. As part of this effort, the automaker will move the brand positioning upward and bring new state-of-the-art offerings with a blend of historical legacy and future technological innovation. Importantly, this new approach from Jaguar has been quite polarising for ardent fans, which may feel a comparatively different touch for the automobile sector.

Jaguar Type 00 has been gaining attention in global markets because of its distinctive luxury profile with the blend of the electric powertrain, showcasing the brand’s future design directions. This seems like the brand will consider long bonnets and receding rooflines in its future vehicles as part of its angular design language used in a new range of models. The tank-like exterior and sharp lines offer a compelling road presence to the Type 00 Concept, gaining attention from people on the road. The concept version primarily previews an upcoming four-door coupe based on the brand’s latest JEA architecture and can provide 770 km of maximum range on a single charge.

Jaguar Land Rover has already confirmed receiving over 32,000 expressions of interest for its new Type 00 Concept before its official launch in the global market. The production of this concept model is expected to start later this year, while the sales may commence somewhere in mid-2026.
