Key Highlights:
Aprilia, the renowned Italian motorcycle manufacturer, has recently unveiled its latest offering, the RS457, in the United Kingdom. The bike is available in the Indian market for Rs 4.25 Lakh, however with an export price tag hovering around Rs 6.8 lakh, this dynamic bike is set to revolutionize the UK sports bike segment. Notably, the RS457 is manufactured in India and exported to international markets, showcasing the country's prowess in the automotive industry.
Positioned to rivals like the Kawasaki Ninja 400 and Yamaha YZF-R3, the Aprilia RS457 promises a thrilling ride for enthusiasts. Its arrival expands the options available to A2 license holders in the UK, presenting them with a high-performance yet accessible choice. Despite its slightly higher price point compared to competitors, Aprilia anticipates robust sales figures for the RS457.
A2 License Holders in the UK: To obtain an A2 Licence, one must pass a motorcycle test on a vehicle with a minimum of 400cc and 20-35kw (33 to 47bhp). This license, also called a Restricted Licence, mandates prior completion of a CBT and Motorcycle Theory Test. Applicants must be a minimum of 19 years old to qualify.
Under the hood, the RS457 packs a punch with its 457cc parallel-twin cylinder engine featuring liquid cooling. Delivering a formidable output of approximately 47bhp and 43.5Nm of torque, this powerhouse is mated to a six-speed gearbox equipped with a slip and assist clutch. Enthusiasts can opt for a bi-directional quick-shifter for added convenience.
The bike's performance is complemented by its top-notch components, including 17-inch wheels suspended by upside-down forks and a mono-shock with preload adjustability. Enhanced safety features such as dual-channel ABS ensure precise braking control, while full LED illumination guarantees visibility even in low-light conditions.
Tech-savvy riders will appreciate the RS457's advanced instrumentation, boasting a five-inch TFT display for seamless navigation through various rider aids. From engine maps to traction control settings, ABS configurations, and three distinct riding modes, the RS457 empowers riders to tailor their experience according to their preferences.
Available in three striking colors for both domestic and international markets, the Aprilia RS457 epitomizes style and performance. Manufactured at Aprilia's state-of-the-art facility in Baramati, India, this bike exemplifies the brand's commitment to delivering excellence across the globe.
With its unrivaled combination of power, agility, and technological innovation, the Aprilia RS457 is poised to leave a lasting impression on discerning riders in the UK and beyond. As Aprilia continues to push boundaries in the world of motorcycling, the RS457 stands as a testament to the brand's relentless pursuit of perfection.
