Mahindra has specifically designed its Bold Edition models for customers looking for the rugged durability of these vehicles and a blend of comfort and modern flair.
Mahindra has introduced Bold Editions for its tried and tested SUVs, the Bolero and Bolero Neo, with a style twist and imposing look. Built on top-spec variants of each model, these editions perfectly blend the rugged reliability and enhanced on-road presence. The mechanical specifications are unchanged; both SUVs have received major cosmetic upgrades for their fresh appeal.
Mahindra has specifically designed its Bold Edition models for customers looking for the rugged durability of these vehicles and a blend of comfort and modern flair. The cosmetic changes include a tweaked interior theme, exclusive Bold Edition badging, and other enhancements while ensuring the core mechanical specifications remain the same as standard models.
One of the major attractions of the Mahindra Bolero and Bolero Neo Bold Edition is the addition of a dark chrome accent across the exterior.
From the front grille and fog lamp surrounds to the rear air vents (in Bolero only) and spare wheel cover, all have having darkened chrome finish. In standard models, the Indian automaker offers a standard chrome or silver finish for these components.
To make these models stand out, there is exclusive “Bold Edition” badging on both the tailgate and the rear fenders of the Bolero Neo and Bolero SUV. This not only adds to exclusivity but also makes it a special edition for the buyers considering purchasing these models.
An all-black theme has replaced the dual-tone or beige interiors inside the cabin. This cosmetic change has given both SUVs a more modern and sportier look, making them ideal for customers who often consider a darker theme. The seat upholstery comes in black fabric, the steering wheel is wrapped in leatherette, and soft-touch materials in the cabin are known for their utilitarian nature.
The dashboard layout remains unchanged, but adding a new theme makes the cabin area look more pleasing than standard models. For better comfort and practicality, the Bold Edition comes with neck pillows and seatbelt covers, where both are finished to match the darker interior layout.
Under the hood, the Bolero and Bolero Neo continue to get power from the same powertrain as available in standard models. In the Mahindra Bolero, there is a 1.5-liter diesel engine that produces 74.9 bhp and 210 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. This configuration is known for its reliable performance in urban, semi-urban, and rural areas.
On the other hand, the Bolero Neo comes with a more powerful 1.5-liter mHawk diesel engine that delivers 98.5 bhp and 260 Nm of torque and is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Both models have a manual transmission with no option to choose an automatic transmission.
