MG Comet EV vs. Tata Tiago EV

With the revised pricing, the MG Comet EV has become the most affordable electric car in India, undercutting the entire price range of the Tata Tiago EV. The top-spec Plush variant, now priced at Rs 8.58 lakh, presents a compelling alternative to the Tiago EV, which ranges from Rs 8.29 lakh to 12.09 lakh.

Despite its limited range and two-door layout, the top-spec Comet EV offers more value than the entry-level Tiago EV with comparable specifications.

Comet EV Specifications

For reference, the MG Comet EV is equipped with a 17.3kWh battery, providing an ARAI-certified range of 230km. It features a single electric motor on the rear axle, generating 42hp and 110Nm of torque. In contrast, in its entry-level MR variants, the Tiago EV sports a 19.2kWh battery with an ARAI-claimed range of 250km, along with a front axle-mounted electric motor producing 61hp and 110Nm.
