Motovolt, a prominent player in the electric two-wheeler market in India, unveiled its latest innovation on Tuesday. The company introduced the Motovolt M7, a multi-utility electric scooter (MUSe) integrated with cutting-edge German technology. Priced at an introductory offer of Rs 1,22,000 (ex-showroom) the M7 aims to revolutionize urban commuting with its advanced features and sustainable design. The scooter can be booked at Rs 999 (fully refundable).
The M7 boasts a modular design that prioritizes safety, quality, comfort, and sustainability. By incorporating efficient metals and reducing plastic usage, Motovolt ensures a durable and eco-friendly product. The scooter's rear section is intelligently crafted to facilitate easy load-carrying, enhancing travel convenience for users.
One of the standout features of the M7 is its battery technology. Equipped with a robust 3kWh unit utilizing advanced LFP cell chemistry, the battery offers over 1000 charge cycles, ensuring longevity and safety. Encased in aluminium and adhering to stringent standards (IP67), the battery guarantees fire and waterproof protection. With a range of 166 km in IDC mode (ARAI certified), the M7 promises extended rides without compromising on performance.
Motovolt has partnered with Swobbee, a leader in battery-swapping technology, to provide seamless battery swapping capabilities at multiple locations nationwide. This partnership aligns with Motovolt's commitment to offering convenient and efficient solutions for urban mobility.
Tushar Choudhary, founder and CEO of Motovolt Mobility, emphasized the company's mission to provide sustainable commuting alternatives. He highlighted the M7 as a product tailored for Indian consumers, integrating advanced features to enhance their riding experience while addressing urban mobility challenges.
Andreas Zurwehme, CEO of eROCKIT, Germany, expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration, praising the synergy between German and Indian engineers. He believes that the M7's exceptional qualities will resonate with Indian consumers and potentially expand to European markets in the future.
The M7 is equipped with a sophisticated telematics system accessible through the Motovolt app, designed to streamline fleet management for businesses. This comprehensive solution offers real-time location tracking, over-the-air software updates, and predictive analytics to optimize performance and maintenance.
Offering six vibrant color options, the Motovolt M7 promises maximum vehicle uptime, lower total cost of ownership, and easy access to spare parts. Following its initial launch in West Bengal and Orissa, the M7 is set to be introduced in other major cities in a phased manner, marking a significant step forward in sustainable urban mobility.
With its blend of innovation, sustainability, and convenience, the Motovolt M7 sets a new benchmark in the electric scooter segment, catering to the evolving needs of modern commuters.
