The all-new Pulsar N125, a sleek and fashionable commuter motorbike, is the latest addition to Bajaj's popular Pulsar family. This 125cc bike, which comes in two different models, costs ₹94,707 for the base model and ₹98,707 for the Bluetooth version. Here is a thorough analysis of its features, specs, and comparison to rival models such as the Hero Xtreme 125R and TVS Raider.
Similar to the TVS Raider and Hero Xtreme 125R, the Pulsar N125 has a bold and aggressive design language. While the Bluetooth version offers three dual-tone color options—black/red, black/yellow, and black/purple—the base model is available in four colors: white, black, red, and blue. Additionally, the bike has a split seat arrangement that makes riding pleasant and sporty.
The new 124.58cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that powers the Pulsar N125 produces 12 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 11 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox, which allows for smooth shifting for city commutes and occasional highway rides.
The performance figures of the Pulsar N125 are in line with those of its competitors in the 125cc segment. Chassis and Underpinnings The Pulsar N125 is built on a single-cradle frame and has a telescopic fork up front and a monoshock at the back.
Braking is accomplished by a 240mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum, with CBS (Combi-Braking System) for increased safety. The Hero Xtreme 125R has ABS, but the CBS offers good braking control.
The Bajaj Pulsar N125 comes in two variants:
The Bluetooth variant offers additional tech-focused features, enhancing convenience and connectivity for riders.
Both variants feature an 80/100-17 front tyre. The slightly wider rear tyre on the Bluetooth variant provides better grip and stability.
The standout feature of the Bluetooth variant is its basic Bluetooth connectivity integrated into the LCD display. Additionally, it comes with:
Despite its sporty commuter design, the Pulsar N125 offers an impressive 198mm of ground clearance, a feature more common in adventure bikes. With a 9.5-litre fuel tank, it weighs 125kg and has a seat height of 795mm, making it accessible to a wide range of riders.
Entering the competitive 125cc market, the Bajaj Pulsar N125 takes aim at competitors such as the Hero Xtreme 125R and TVS Raider. It is a serious competitor in the sporty commuter market thanks to its sleek appearance, potent engine, and sophisticated features. In order to better understand which bike stands out as the finest choice in this market, a comparison of these bikes is soon to be released.
