Luxury meets affordability with the Range Rover Velar's Rs. 6.40 lakh price cut, offering opulent features and powerful performance at Rs. 87,90,000.
In a surprising move, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India has announced a significant price reduction for the Land Rover Range Rover Velar. The luxury SUV, which received a facelift in July 2023, now comes with a substantially reduced price tag.
Previously starting at Rs. 94.30 lakh (ex-showroom), the Velar now sees a generous price cut of Rs. 6.40 lakh, bringing its revised cost down to Rs. 87,90,000 (ex-showroom). This move aims to make the Velar more accessible to luxury car enthusiasts.
The Velar facelift is available in a single, fully loaded variant, offering both petrol and diesel powertrain options. Positioned between the Range Rover Evoque and the Range Rover Sport, the Velar combines performance with opulence.
The updated Velar boasts a series of enhancements, including new pixel LED headlamps, revised bumpers and front grille, distinctive wrap-around taillamps, and an advanced 11.4-inch curved touchscreen infotainment system. The interior experience is further elevated with wireless mobile connectivity, active road noise cancellation, and an integrated air purifier.
Beneath the hood, the facelifted Velar offers a 2.0-litre petrol engine generating 201bhp and 430Nm of torque, and a 2.0-litre diesel engine churning out an impressive 296bhp and 400Nm of torque. Both powertrains are coupled with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, ensuring a smooth and dynamic driving experience. The power is efficiently distributed to all four wheels through the renowned Terrain Response 2 system. JLR India's decision to slash the Velar's prices makes it an even more enticing option in the luxury SUV segment, combining high-end features with a more accessible cost.
