The Indian motorcycle market is about to witness a major shift in Royal Enfield’s motorcycle lineup. Today, at Motoverse 2024 in Goa, the Scram 411 is taken over by the all-new Scrum 440. The bike is specifically designed for urban riding with a more powerful engine and subtle chassis upgrades. Moreover, the pricing of the Royal Enfield Scram 440 could be introduced in the first half of 2025 along with the bookings and deliveries. The motorcycle is expected to be priced between Rs 2.10-2.25 lakh (ex-showroom). It's clear that Royal Enfield will offer a range of accessories with the Scram 440.

  • The Scram 440 makes its debut at the Motoverse 2024 event in Goa today.
  • The Scram 440 may receive subtle chassis updates to improve city ride compatibility.
  • The Scram 440 is expected to be priced between Rs 2.10-2.25 lakh (ex-showroom), with bookings starting in mid-2025. (stay tuned for official launch dates)

Motoverse 2024 Goa

The Motoverse 2024 event kicks off on November 22 in Goa, and Royal Enfield is preparing to make a big announcement for the motorcycling world. According to reliable sources, the company will introduce the all-new Scram 440 with a new air-cooled petrol engine. However, the Scram 411 has been available for the past three years, but Scram 440 will replace it. It is equipped with a larger and more powerful engine, the new bike will also receive a cosmetic overhaul and new colour choices.

Bigger and Better Engine

Insiders suggest that the Scram 440 will likely retain the same 411cc single-cylinder engine from the Scram 411 but with a larger bore. However, earlier reports have hinted that Royal Enfield has developed a new 443cc engine (LS443) based on the 411cc motor, expected to deliver more power and torque than its predecessor.

Chassis Tweaks for Urban Riding

While most parts will likely be carried over from the Scram 411, the instrument cluster could be updated. Also, the Scram 440 will probably not have a TFT display like the Himalayan 450.

Royal Enfield at Motoverse 2024: More Surprises

Ahead of Motoverse 2024, Royal Enfield unveiled the Goan Classic 350, its first 350cc Bobber motorcycle. The price of the Goan Classic 350 will be announced at the event as it gets ready to hit the market. Additionally, the company is expected to showcase Classic 650 and Bear 650 at the event, both of which made their global debut earlier this month at EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy.

Royal Enfield's Recent Launches

In the past 12 months, Royal Enfield has launched two completely new motorcycles for the Indian market: the Himalayan 450 introduced last November, followed by the Guerrilla 450 earlier this year.

Wrapping Up

As Royal Enfield continues to expand its lineup and innovate with new models like the Scram 440, the excitement around its offerings only increases. With enhanced features, improved performance, and stylish design upgrades, the Scram 440 is expected to make a significant impact on the Indian market.
