Royal Enfield has initiated shipments of its latest offering, the Shotgun 650, to European markets, marking a significant expansion in the motorcycle's global presence. The Shotgun 650, manufactured in India at Royal Enfield's facility in Tamil Nadu, is now available in prominent European cities including Paris, London, Madrid, Berlin, and Milan.
The Shotgun 650, priced at Rs 3.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai) in India, enters the European market with varying price tags:
Country | Price (ex-showroom) |
UK | from £6,699 (Rs 7.05 lakh) |
France | from €7,300 (Rs 6.58 lakh) |
Italy | from €7,300 (Rs 6.58 lakh) |
Spain | from €7,300 (Rs 6.58 lakh) |
Germany | from €7,300 (Rs 6.58 lakh) |
Joining Royal Enfield's 650cc platform siblings like the Continental GT 650 and the Super Meteor 650, the Shotgun 650 maintains consistency across markets, retaining identical specifications and color options.
Renowned for its Bobber style, the Shotgun 650 boasts a captivating low-slung stance. Notable design elements such as the fuel tank, curved fenders, and floating rider's seat contribute to its striking appearance, earning accolades for its aesthetic appeal.
Powered by the same 648cc, parallel-twin engine found in other Royal Enfield 650cc models, the Shotgun 650 generates 46.4bhp and 52.3Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. Its characterful engine enhances the riding experience, perfectly complementing its Bobber style.
In the European market, the Shotgun 650 competes against formidable rivals including the Kawasaki Eliminator 400, Vulcan S, and Honda Rebel 500, offering riders a compelling choice in the Bobber segment.
Royal Enfield's expansion of the Shotgun 650 to Europe signifies the brand's commitment to catering to diverse global markets. With its distinctive design, robust performance, and competitive pricing, the Shotgun 650 is poised to make a significant impact in the European motorcycle landscape.
