Spy shots reveal Skoda Kushaq facelift testing, suggesting a 2025 launch with updated exterior, and interior features, and retained engine options to boost competitiveness in the compact SUV segment.

Skoda Kushaq Facelift Spotted: 2025 Model to Bring Fresh Updates

Recent spy photographs have captured the Skoda Kushaq facelift undergoing tests abroad, hinting at a possible launch in the second half of 2025. Initially introduced in June 2021 as part of Volkswagen Group's India 2.0 initiative, the Kushaq facelift appears set for a mid-life refresh. Despite heavy camouflage, the images suggest several exterior and interior updates to enhance Kushaq's competitiveness in the increasingly crowded compact SUV segment.

The upcoming Kushaq facelift is expected to feature significant visual enhancements, including:

  • New lighting elements, likely with connected LED headlights and taillights
  • Redesigned front and rear bumpers
  • Revised front grille
  • Updated alloy wheel designs

Interior updates may include new upholstery options and colors. While the current model offers features like a digital instrument cluster and ventilated seats, the facelift could introduce additional amenities such as:

  • Panoramic sunroof
  • 360-degree camera system
  • Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

Mechanically, the Kushaq facelift is expected to retain its current engine line-up. This includes a 1.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine producing 115 hpower and 178 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre petrol engine generating 150 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. Transmission options will likely remain unchanged, with a 6-speed manual gearbox available for both engines, a 6-speed automatic for the 1.0-litre variant, and a 7-speed DCT for the 1.5-litre model.

Skoda recently discontinued the 1.5L EVO TSI manual transmission variants of the Kushaq and Slavia. This move, coupled with the introduction of special editions like the Slavia Monte Carlo and Sportline versions of both models, appears to be part of Skoda's efforts to revitalize sales in the face of declining figures for both vehicles in recent months.
