Sokudo Electric India, a prominent player in the electric two-wheeler industry with a focus on eco-friendly transportation solutions, has recently unveiled two new electric scooter models tailored to comply with the FAME-II scheme.
The introduction of the Select 2.2, Rapid 2.2, and the Plus (Powered By Lithium) models not only underscores the company's commitment to producing durable and budget-friendly bikes but also marks a significant milestone in the electric scooter market.
In light of the remarkable 36 percent surge in electric scooter sales witnessed in 2023, Sokudo Electric India's strategic move aims to capitalize on the growing demand for sustainable mobility options. With these launches, the company sets out to secure a substantial 15-20 percent share of the electric scooter market, aligning its objectives with India's ambitious target of achieving an 80 percent sales penetration for electric two-wheelers.
The Sokudo Select 2.2, priced at ₹85,889 (ex-showroom), boasts impressive specifications designed to cater to the diverse needs of Indian consumers. Equipped with a Brushless DC Hub Motor delivering a peak power of 2300W, the Select 2.2 offers a range of up to 100 km on a single charge, with a top speed reaching up to 70 km/hr. Additionally, features like reverse gear and multiple riding modes (Eco, Normal, Sport) enhance its versatility and user experience. The scooter's robust build, with a net weight of 101 kg and a carrying capacity of 250 kg, further underscores its practicality and suitability for various road conditions.
Similarly, the Sokudo Rapid 2.2, priced at ₹79,889 (ex-showroom), shares comparable specifications with the Select 2.2, providing Indian riders with another compelling option for eco-friendly urban commuting. With its sleek design and advanced features, the Rapid 2.2 promises a seamless and efficient riding experience, coupled with the reliability and durability expected from Sokudo Electric products.
Notably, Sokudo Electric India also introduces the Plus model, priced attractively at ₹59,889, catering to the affordability factor prevalent in the Indian market. With a range of up to 105 km, the Plus model offers versatility and practicality for daily commuting needs. Its Brushless DC Hub Motor, available in both lead and lithium battery variants, ensures optimal performance and efficiency, while features like LED headlights and front disc brakes prioritize safety and visibility for riders.
