Suzuki Motorcycle India unveils the e-Access electric scooter and Gixxer SF 250 Flex Fuel at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. Discover specifications, features, and details of both models in this exciting update.
The new Suzuki e-Access, named after the brand's successful 125cc petrol scooter, is aimed at families with its simple look and practical features. The new Suzuki e-Access will compete with Honda Activa e, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, Ather Rizta, Ola S1, and others in the electric scooter segment. Additionally, the Gixxer SF 250 will compete against the Honda CB300F in India.
Suzuki e-Access is powered by a fixed 3.07 kWh LFP battery pack which the company claims its total range of 95 kilometers (IDC-certified). Talking about the motor, it has a 4.1 kW electric motor that produces 5.4 bhp and 5 Nm of torque at peak. It has a top speed which is limited to 71 kmph.
Moreover, the battery takes approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent, while a full charge takes 6 hours and 42 minutes using a 240-watt portable charger. Additionally, if you use a fast charger, then it will take a total time of just 1 hour and 12 minutes for 0-80 % and 2 hours and 12 minutes for 0-100%.
The Suzuki e-Access is an entirely new platform. It features telescopic forks in the front and swingarm suspension in the rear. The scooter has 12-inch alloy wheels on both ends, with a 90/90-section tyre up front and at the rear it has a tyre of 100/80. A front disc and rear drum configuration manage the braking chores.
The e-Access has dimensions of 1,880 mm in length, 715 mm in width, and a height of 1,140 mm. Moreover, it has a wheelbase of 1,305 mm. The seat height is 765 mm, with a ground clearance of 165 mm. This electric scooter boasts a total kerb weight of 122 kg.
Other features include all-LED lighting which includes LED daytime running lights, a CBS (combination braking system), a remote tank lid opening, and 24.4 L in boot space.
Additionally, it includes a digital screen with Bluetooth connectivity. According to the company, this scooter will launch in the market soon this year.
Gixxer SF 250 flex fuel is a hybrid fuel motorcycle that is capable of roaring on the roads with a blend of ethanol and petrol. The composition of this blend includes up to 85% ethanol and 15% petrol.
This motorcycle is powered by a single-cylinder engine that produces 27.9hp on E85 fuel and 27.2hp on E20 fuel. In terms of torque, it can produce 22.5Nm on both fuel blends. To accommodate E85 fuel, the Gixxer SF 250 has a revised injector, ECU and fuel pump, new intake and exhaust valves, a new fuel gauge and a new fuel filter.
The Design of the motorcycle remains unchanged in comparison to the regular Gixxer SF 250 and even the feature list remains the same. When it comes to the color options, Matte red and Matte black are the two available options.
The ordinary Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 starts at Rs 1.92 lakh and goes up to Rs 2.06 lakh, while the E85 variant costs Rs 2.17 lakh all at (ex-showroom).
The Japanese automaker has not only surprised India with its entry into the electric two-wheeler market with the all-new e-Access but has also added competition to the Honda CB300F with the launch of the Gixer SF 250 in the flex-fuel market. The exact launch and pricing details of the e-Access were not announced at the event, but the company will be launching it later this year.
