Explore the anticipated Tata Punch Facelift, set to launch in mid-2025, as Tata seeks to regain its top-selling status amidst fierce competition in India's SUV market.
Tata Punch had become the most selling car in India for two consecutive months in India. However it didn’t last much because of Hyundai and Maruti. SUV sales are skyrocketing in our country because of various upgrades and new launches. Now Tata is thinking of regaining the top spot with the New Tata Punch Facelift. At some sources it has been revealed that Tata is planning to launch a facelift model in mid-2025. Let’s look at what are the leaks available on the upcoming Punch Facelift.
On the exterior, the Tata Punch facelift is expected to draw design elements from the Punch EV, while maintaining some distinct styling cues, similar to the differentiation seen between the Nexon and Nexon EV. Key updates to the front fascia are anticipated, including redesigned LED DRLs, new headlamps, and refreshed bumpers. These revisions will give the Punch a more modern and dynamic look, aligning with Tata’s evolving design language.
Inside, the Tata Punch facelift will introduce several equipment upgrades. A notable addition is the larger 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, which will feature wireless connectivity for both
Additionally, these variants will come equipped with a wireless charging pad and C-type USB fast charging ports, enhancing the convenience and tech appeal of the interior.
In terms of comfort, the Punch facelift will feature rear AC vents and a redesigned center console for a more premium feel. Select variants, including the mid and high-level trims, will offer a sunroof option, expanding this feature beyond the base models. This enhancement aims to improve the overall comfort and luxury quotient of the vehicle.
Tata Motors plans to revamp the variant lineup of the Punch facelift. Existing trims such as Pure Rhythm, Accomplished, Accomplished (Sunroof), and Creative flagship will be discontinued. Instead, three new trims will be introduced: Pure (O), Adventure S, and Adventure+ S. Alongside the revised trims, there will also be a reshuffling of features across the range, ensuring better value and differentiation for each variant.
Mechanically, the Punch facelift will remain unchanged. It will continue to be powered by the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 86hp and 113 Nm of torque.
Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.
Tata will also offer a CNG-powered variant, similar to the outgoing Punch, and it’s expected that the AMT gearbox will be available with this CNG variant as well, catering to customers seeking more fuel-efficient options.
Upon launch, the Tata Punch facelift will continue to compete with rivals such as the Hyundai Exter, Citroen C3, and lower variants of the Nissan Magnite (with its own facelift due next month) and Renault Kiger.
