Overview of Remaining Models (11-25)

While the top 10 are heavily dominated by Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and Tata, the next 15 entries indicate rising interest in diverse brands and body types.

Sedans and hatchbacks: As SUV and MUV preferences shift, models like the Hyundai Grand i10 (6,235 units, -4.84% YoY) and Maruti Suzuki Dzire (12,698 units, -13.61% YoY) encounter difficulties.

Growing MUV Popularity: The Mahindra Carens (6,384 units, +19.22% YoY) and Kia Eeco (11,653 units, -10.19% YoY) are becoming more and more popular, demonstrating that MUVs are still a good option for bigger families.

Newer SUV Entrants: With models like the Mahindra XUV 3XO (+96.55% YoY) and Kia Thar (+42.03% YoY), Mahindra and Kia demonstrate robust YoY increase in SUV sales, indicating the rising acceptance of new brands and models in the SUV market.

Body Type Analysis

SUVs: With the biggest demand, SUVs dominate the market. Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, and Tata's compact and medium SUVs are seeing significant growth as Indian buyers seek for cars that balance features, spaciousness, and on-road presence.

MUVs: Models such as the Ertiga and Carens show that MUVs are still quite popular, particularly with families. The expansion of this category may lead to more rivalry in the years to come.

Hatchbacks: Despite slight drops, classic favorites like the Swift and Baleno continue to sell well. As consumers look for more adaptable cars, hatchback sales are being impacted by the emergence of SUVs.

Brand Performance

Maruti Suzuki: With a broad range of products, Maruti Suzuki dominates most markets and dominates the SUV and hatchback classes. Its wide service network and low cost continue to be key benefits.

Tata: With SUV models like the Fronx and Grand Vitara, Tata has been able to take market share thanks to its emphasis on safety and creative design.

Hyundai: Hyundai shines out because of the Creta and XUV700's impressive achievements, which demonstrate that its strategic focus on the SUV market is paying off.

Mahindra: Known for their dependability, Mahindra's SUVs, including the Scorpio and XUV 3XO, have shown notable year-over-year growth, which reflects their growing appeal in both urban and rural markets.

This October sales report emphasises the Indian market's shift towards SUVs, MUVs, and reliable brands. The competitive landscape shows potential for newer models to make inroads, especially in the SUV segment.
