TVS Motor Company is getting ready to release an improved version of its Raider 125 cc commuter motorcycle. The Raider 125 is a new motorcycle that has garnered positive feedback since its release in September 2021. TVS will release the updated Raider through MOTOVERSE, its Metaverse platform, and it will most likely include TVS' 'SmartXonnect' technology, which is also available on other models such as the NTorq 125, Apache RTR 200 4V, and so on. Call display, turn-by-turn navigation, message notification, and other capabilities are expected from the SmartXonnect technology. The motorcycle will also get a new instrument display.
TVS has shared a number of short teaser videos for the redesigned Raider 125 on social media, particularly the Raider's Instagram and Twitter accounts. The Raider 125's mechanicals are expected to remain unchanged. A 124.8cc single-cylinder engine produces 11.2 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 11.2 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm in the Raider 125. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission.
The motorcycle has two riding modes: Eco and Power, with the latter offering 10% greater power at the high end. The instrument panel is a negative LCD screen with a plethora of readouts such as three trip metres, a distance to empty indicator, an Integrated Starter Generator indicator, and an average speed recorder. As a safety precaution, the motorcycle also includes a side-stand cut-off switch.
In India, the revised Raider will compete with 125cc commuter bikes like as the Hero Glamour XTEC and Honda Shine SP. We anticipate a price of roughly Rs. 90,000 for it (ex-showroom).
