Royal Enfield, Ducati, Hero, Harley, and others are all set to launch their motorcycles in the month of August 2022 in India. Here we will look at the upcoming launches this month.
August will see a frenzy of product debuts from well-known brands as well as some new players entering the Indian two-wheeler sector. Here is a list of bikes that should be released this month.
The Hunter 350 is the most anticipated launch scheduled for August and is scheduled to launch on August 7. Additionally, it's probably going to be among the easiest REs to obtain. With a launch weight of just 180 kg, the Hunter will be the lightest Royal Enfield in the company's current lineup. The Meteor and Classic 350's J-series engines, which produce 20.2 horsepower and 27 Nm of peak torque, will also power the Hunter 350. When combined with its lower kerb weight, the Hunter promises to perform more vivaciously than its siblings. It will greatly undercut them as well because its price is anticipated to be between Rs. 1.5 lakh and Rs. 1.6 lakh. Most likely it will be positioned as the entry-level RE bike.
Speaking of easily accessible Royal Enfields, a new version of the venerable Bullet 350 may also be introduced. Since it is the only model in Enfield's lineup that use the older UCE motor, the Bullet 350 is now the entry-level model. When the J-platform-based next-generation Bullet 350 debuts, anticipate it to have more contemporary components and extra features like the optional Tripper navigation pod. Expect the price to increase as well, expected to be approximately Rs 1.7 lakh, given the major update it is anticipated to receive.
Hero seems to be preparing to release an improved version of the Xpulse 200T, which might come with the new 4V engine. Hero's capable little off-roader has a 200T model with more of a road focus that rides on 17-inch cast alloy wheels. The Xpulse 200 was given the option of the 4V engine last year, while the 200T was only offered with the outdated 2V engine. The revised model will probably receive minor aesthetic changes like fork gaiters, a new color scheme, and a headlamp that is placed differently. Expect a price increase above the current Rs. 1.24 lakh due to these modifications.
There isn't much information available about the newest member of Honda's BigWing lineup in India, other than the fact that it will debut on August 8. Honda might take this product in a number of different directions. Honda could add a USD front fork and double front disc brakes to the CB500X, which is presently available in India (an update the model received last year internationally). Another option is for one of the other models from its 500cc lineup to arrive here. Another possibility is the Forza 350 maxi-introduction, scooters since more manufacturers have recently become open to the concept of large-capacity scooters.
For their Indian operations, both of these companies have partnered with AARI (Adishwar Auto Ride India), the same company that distributed Benelli and Keeway models in India. While Moto Morini plans to introduce four models to the country, all of which are based on the 650cc twin-cylinder platform of the company, Zontes has five motorcycles planned for India, all of which are based on the same 350cc single-cylinder platform.
Keeway stated its plan to introduce a total of eight goods to India within a 12-month period at the time of its inception. The following one will appear in August after the first three have already made their debuts. Two Keeway products, the Vieste 300 maxi-scooter and the retro-styled Sixties 300i have already been reviewed by us.
The all-new Sportster S, the first ADV bike from a company known for cruisers, was introduced by Harley-Davidson last year as an update to the long-running Sportster line of motorcycles. The Sportster S, which is now available for Rs 16.51 lakh, will be replaced by the new Nightster, which would be more affordable. An 89hp, 95Nm, 975cc Revolution Max engine from the Nightster's larger stablemates drives it. When it is released, the new Nightster is likely to be priced substantially lower than the Sportster S.
Similar to the Streetfighter V4/Panigale V4, which is essentially a Panigale V2 without fairings, the Streetfighter V2 provides nearly all the performance of its fully-faired sister with a less demanding riding position. The same 955cc Superquadro L-Twin engine that powers the "smaller" Streetfighter complies with Euro-5/BS6 standards and produces 101.4Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm and 153 horsepower at 10,750 rpm (figures very close to the recently-launched Rs 13.61 lakh Suzuki Katana). Brembo brakes at both ends, a fully adjustable suspension, and a complete complement of electronic rider aids are all included, as is to be expected from the Bologna-based manufacturer. When it is released, expect it to be less expensive than its fully-faired sibling, the Panigale V2, which costs Rs 19.49 lakh right now.
Ducati, never one to rest on its laurels, redesigned its Panigale V4 superbike for the 2022 model year. The upgraded device will now debut in India later this month. The motor, electronics, chassis, and aerodynamics all underwent improvements with the 2022 upgrade. The engine output levels have changed somewhat and are now 215.5 horsepower and 123.6 pound-feet of torque. Ducati also says that the revised aerodynamics have increased top speed. When they are released, anticipate the MY2023 motorcycles to cost somewhat more than the Panigale V4 regular model (Rs. 23.50 lakh) and the V4S. (Rs 28.40 lakh).
All of the modifications made to the MY22 Panigale V4 series are carried over to the Panigale V4 SP2, which also includes a sprinkle of priceless parts and exclusivity. The Panigale SP2 weighs 194.5kg and generates a monstrous 215.5hp and 123.6Nm from its 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale engine (1kg lighter than the V4S). This limited edition model comes included with features including an STM-EVO dry clutch, Stylema R brakes, carbon fibre wheels, and an electrically adjustable Ohlins suspension. This SP2 model will be sold in incredibly small quantities and for an outrageous price, just like the SP version before it.
