Latest Update: Toyota’s luxury brand, Lexus, is gearing up to launch the Lexus UX in the Indian market. It is essentially a five-seater luxury hybrid SUV with unmatched performance and luxury features in its segment. The sources claim the upcoming Lexus UX can be priced at around Rs 40 lakh in India.
While limited details are available, Toyota’s TNGA platform is expected to underpin the Lexus UX. It is also reported that the SUV can be based on the Toyota C-HR (coupe high-rider), which is underpinned by the same TNGA platform.
Based on industry sources, the model can be powered by a new 2.0-liter Toyota Hybrid System (THS-II). If the same engine configuration is offered, the model can deliver 145 PS and 180 Nm of torque. Moreover, the upcoming delivery of a new all-wheel drive system called the E-Four System offers increased torque at the rear axle.

If it launches, the Lexus UX price in India will start from Rs 40 lakh, ex-showroom. Moreover, the model will rival Audi Q3, Skoda Kodiaq, BMW 2 Series, and Toyota Fortuner.
