The 5-door Mahindra 5-door Thar is going to be launched in 2023, Thar is scheduled to go on sale in 2024
The upcoming off-road SUV The 5-door Mahindra 5-door Thar, from the Indian Manufacturer, is ready to make its debut on 26th January 2023. Thar is scheduled to go on sale in 2024, while its official launch timeline is yet to be declared.

Here, it will be seated against 5-door Force Gurkha and the upcoming 5-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny and Its price ranges are expected to be around Rs 70,000 – Rs 80,000 which is higher than its 3-door version that prices between Rs 13.59 lakh – Rs 16.29 lakh (ex-showroom)
Before its official debut, we have got its test mule many times that reveals its few deaign and interior details.Contrary to its 3-door version, the 5-door Thar will be a more practical option for family customers, Thar has an extra cabin space for both in the boot area and rear seat passengers. It is going to appeal the off-road enthusiasts too as it has rugged appearance along with capabilities.
The 5-door Mahindra Thar will appear around 15% longer and will be having 22% longer wheelbase than its younger sibling. While the width between the wheels could be enhanced to maintain an optimum wheelbase to track ratio for great stability, The extended wheelbase will also reduce its ‘breakover’ angle. The off-road SUV’s existing model measures 3,985mm in length and sits on a 2,450mm long wheelbase.The 5-door Mahindra Thar will features the same 2.2L mHawk diesel and is equipped with 2.0L mStallion petrol engines that generates the 3-door Thar. Though, the car manufacturer might consider to re-tune the motor for powering extra power output. Carmaker might provide install Thar with 6 and 7-seats configuration options. Except the extra space provided in the second row, overall features and will be very similar to the 3-door Thar. The spy images suggest that 5-door Thar will look exactly similar to its younger sibling. It will be installed with a high mounted stop lamp, a tailgate mounted spare wheel along with square LED taillamps.
