Maruti Suzuki plans to launch its most anticipated Jimny 5-door in the Indian market. The carmaker unleashed this new enterer at Delhi Auto Expo and now has commenced production of this SUV series car at its Gurgaon plant. 5-door Jimny is expected to be launched in June, while the final delivery of this SUV will commence by the last week of June.
Maruti kept the booking amount of Rs 25,000 and has already received over 25,000 pre-orders so far.
This new launch is the upgraded version of the 3-door Jimny. The SUV will pack a 340 mm additional wheelbase compared to the processor. Further, the new Jimny may measure 3,985 mm in length, 1,720 mm in height, and 1,645mm in width. Maruti has provided its standard mild-hybrid tech in this SUV. The SUV offers Suzuki's AllGrip Pro 4WD technology paired with a low-range gearbox and manual transfer case, making it a powerful off-roader.
Buyers will have seven different color options to buy this all-new off-roader. These available color options include Bluish Black, Pearl Arctic White, Granite Grey, Kinetic Yellow, Sizzling Red with bluish-black roof, Sizzling Red, and Nexa Blue.
For additional features, the Jimny 5-door packs a 9-inch Suzuki smart Play touchscreen infotainment system, a sound system from Arkamys, automated climate control, and LED auto headlamps with a washer. Further, the SUV also includes additional features like a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 15-inch alloy wheels, dark green glass, and push start/stop. The company has included six airbags, electronic brakeforce distribution, and an anti-lock braking system.
This off-roader's expected launch date is early June, while the expected ex-showroom price for the base variant can be Rs 10 lakh. Maruti has said to launch this SUV in two variants: Zeta and Alpha.
