CarBike360 experts have created the latest list of the top 5 upcoming SUVs in India from brands like Maruti Suzuki and Mercedes-Benz. The list includes Hyundai Exter, Honda Elevate, Mercedes-Benz EQS, and more.
The coming month, June, seems exciting for not only those looking to buy new cars but also car manufacturers willing to extend their market share. Some of the leading car manufacturers in India, like Hyundai, Honda, and Mercedes-Benz, have already scheduled dates to debut their most awaited SUVs in India. Here is the list of the top 5 upcoming SUV cars in June.
Maruti Suzuki is ready to launch its 5-door Jimny as a lifestyle SUV. It is one of the most awaited SUVs in India and has already crossed over 30,000 unit record bookings. The new Jimny gets a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine capable of churning out 103 bhp of power output and 134 Nm of peak torque. Suzuki has offered customers to choose a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission variant. This 5-door Jimny is expected to compete with the Mahindra Thar, available in RWD and 4WD variants.
Indian car buyers are going to be offered another SUV called Honda Elevate. The SUV will officially debut on June 6. It will compete with C-segment cars like Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and Volkswagen Tiguan. Elevate is expected to have several stylish features like a compact sunroof, body-colored ORVMs, and roof tails.
With the debut of the Mercedes-Benz EQS, the German luxury car manufacturer aims to expand its EV portfolio in India and churn out customers' interest in luxury cars. This upcoming all-electric SUV is part of about ten car models that Mercedes-Benz aims to launch in India by March 2024. The car is offered in three different variants in the global market. The EQS 450+ is this series's top-end model that offers a maximum range of up to 660 km on a single charge. In contrast, EQS 580 4MATIC is the most powerful variant, with an engine output of 536 bhp and torque of 858 Nm.
Hyundai, a South Korean automaker, has recently announced the debut of its subcompact SUV, Exter. The company can officially launch this compact SUV in India by June 2023. When Hyundai Exter is launched in India, it will compete with Tata Punch EV. Additionally, Exter gets a 1.2-liter, naturally-aspirated petrol engine capable of producing 82 bhp of power and 113.8 Nm of peak torque. Moreover, the carmaker also offers 5-speed manual and 5-speed automatic transmission options. The bookings for Hyundai Exter have already started for the token amount of Rs 11,000.
The Mercedes-AMG SL55 Roadster is announced to be launched on June 22. This high-performance luxury car gets a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine capable of churning 465 bhp of power and 700 Nm of peak torque. Further, AMG SL 55 can sprint from 0-100 kmph in only 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 315 kmph.
The launch of some of the most awaited SUVs, like the Maruti Suzuki 5-door Jimny, Hyundai Exter, and Honda Elevate, will increase car sales in the coming months. The launch of the Mercedes-Benz EQS and AMG SL 55 will influence customers to buy premium luxury cars in India.
