All New Hyundai Verna Sedan spied in South Korea. The car will have bigger dimensions and a sportier exterior. The launch may happen by the end of next year.
Hyundai Verna to get bigger and get design cues from Hyundai Elantra.
Hyundai is soon going to revamp its sedan with a huge fan following i.e. Verna. It has been spied in its home country South Korea in a completely disguised appearance. The maximum hints for its design elements that we can bring to the platter for you are as below.
Hyundai Verna will follow Hyundai’s latest design philosophy, i.e. sensuous sportiness. The brand has already launched Hyundai Elantra and Sonata in the international market and Hyundai i20 in India using the same philosophy.
This will be the 7th generation of the said car and it will boast a completely revamped exterior design. It will have a wider design than its existing version which will connect with the headlamps seamlessly. It may also have boomerang shaped angular taillamps which will have connecting reflector bar across the boot. The car will have a fastback appearance on the side which will add to the sportier appeal of the car.
The car is yet behind the curtains and better information can only be gathered upon its launch. However, it is expected to arrive with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine. Currently, both these engines are pumping the wheels on Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos in India but Verna may also get mild-hybrid technology with automatic engine start/stop and brake energy regeneration functions in order to comply with more stringent CAFE norms.
The current version of Verna is also available with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine from Hyundai Venue which may get extended to the new car as well. In terms of transmission, it may receive the same as well from its SUV siblings.
There is nothing firm that can be stated with respect to the launch of the car, however, it may only get on Indian soil by the end of 2022. Upon launch, it’ll complete with Honda City, Skoda Slavia, VW Vento, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Toyota Belta.
