German luxury carmaker BMW’s Indian subsidiary has re-started reservations for the three-door electric MINI Cooper SE on BMW India’s official webpage. The BMW Mini Cooper SE EV car’s price in India is Rs 50.90 lakh (ex-showroom), loaded with extra features and is being sold as a CBU in India, also known as Completely Built Up Unit.
According to Mr Vikram Pawah, the President of BMW Group in India, "The tremendous fan following of the BMW MINI Electric car in such a short period of time showcases its position at the forefront of the electric mobility transformation.”
The MINI 3-door Cooper SE gets a Smart Wall-box Charger with a permanently installed cable for charging and one time fixing process as a standard option.
MINI electric car’s equipment list includes adaptable LED headlamps, comfort access function, drive assist, car parking support, sports seats with a new fabric and leather combination in Black Pearl Light Checkered and heated seats for the front passenger and driver.
BMW claimed the driver and passenger’s heated seats feature is available now. The MINI SE EV car can be repaired at thirty two BMW Group contact points or service centres all over India.
With 135 kW of maximum power and a 270 Nm of maximum torque, the fully electric BMW MINI EV accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometre in 7.3 seconds. This British electric car derives power from a 32.6 kWh of battery pack capacity which delivers a total distance range of up to 270 kilometres.
Eighty percent of charge can be done with a 50kW DC charger in matter of just thirty six minutes, which roughly translates to covering 0-100 kilometres distance in a mere 15 minutes, and with the help of an 11 kW AC charger, eighty percent of battery charge can be achieved in two and a half hours.
The new BMW MINI SE electric car’s safety features consists of 3-point seat belts, anti-lock braking mechanism, anti-puncture tires, brake assist, braking control when cornering, crash sensor, dynamic control for stability, front airbags, and a rear view camera.
This MINI EV is fitted with 17 inches of electric powered spoke alloy wheels with energetic yellow tread. The 4 exterior BMW MINI SE EV colours are British Racing Green, Midnight Black 2, Moonwalk Gray and White Silver.
The MINI Cooper SE electric vehicle gets a standard two years of kilometre warranty on unlimited distance coverage. The MINI EV batteries carry a guaranteed coverage of 8 years warranty which is equal to one lakh kilometres. Inclusive Repair warranty advantages can be extended from the third year of unlimited mileage ownership to a maximum of five years.
