BMW X7 Signature Edition: Limited Edition Luxury SUV Priced at Rs 1.33 Crore

BMW has introduced the X7 Signature Edition in India, priced at Rs 1.33 crore (ex-showroom). This special edition brings visual enhancements over the standard X7 but retains the same mechanical specifications. It will be produced locally at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai and is available exclusively in the xDrive40i variant.

Key Highlights of the X7 Signature Edition

Offered only in the xDrive40i trim

Available in two exclusive colors: Tanzanite Blue and Dravit Grey

Exterior Design Enhancements

The BMW X7 Signature Edition features a range of distinctive visual upgrades:

  • Crystal headlamps with Swarovski glass-cut crystals
  • Aluminium satin-finished roof rails
  • LED tail lamps with a new inner graphic
  • Smoked glass covering the chrome bar connecting the tail lamps
  • The vehicle is available in exclusive BMW Individual paint options—Tanzanite Blue and Dravit Grey, adding to its premium look.

Interior Features and Technology

Inside, the X7 Signature Edition offers several luxury upgrades:

  • Individual Leather for the instrument panel
  • Unique crystal door pins
  • Alcantara cushions

In terms of technology, the car is equipped with:

  • BMW Curved Display, which includes a 14.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital
  • driver's display
  • Head-up display
  • BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant
  • Panoramic sunroof

Powertrain and Performance

The BMW X7 Signature Edition shares the same powertrain as the standard model. It is powered by a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 48V mild-hybrid technology. This engine delivers 381hp and 520Nm of peak torque, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0-100kph in just 5.8 seconds. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and the xDrive all-wheel-drive system.

Price Comparison

While the standard BMW X7 xDrive40i is priced at Rs 1.30 crore, the Signature Edition costs Rs 3 lakh more, justified by the exclusive features and design enhancements.

Competition

The BMW X7 Signature Edition competes with other three-row luxury SUVs in the market, including:

  • Mercedes GLS
  • Volvo XC90
  • Audi Q7

This limited edition of the X7 offers a premium blend of style, luxury, and performance, catering to buyers looking for exclusivity in the luxury SUV segment.
