Brixton Motorcycles partners with KAW Veloce Motors to launch in India, introducing a production plant and four models. They aim for nationwide reach and innovation in the dynamic two-wheeler market.
Austria-based Brixton Motorcycles has announced its plan to enter the Indian market. The company will team up with KAW Veloce Motors for sales and distribution. Brixton is all set to introduce a captivating range of motorcycles manufactured specifically for the Indian riders. This strategic move will not only launch an exclusive line of models but also establish the cutting-edge manufacturing facility in India.
The decision of Brixto to enter the Indian market comes after a long term planning and collaboration with KAW Veloce Motors over a span of nearly two years. The Austrian brand, a subsidiary of KSR Group, which has offered a diverse portfolio including Motron Motorcycles and Malaguti Motorcycles, among others, aims to bring its European technology to the vibrant Indian biking community.
Brixton Motorcycles revealed its plan to first introduce four distinct models in India. The details regarding the specific models are yet to be disclosed. These motorcycles have been crafted at Brixton's Austrian design centre, and expected to roll off the assembly line in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, a facility owned by KAW Veloce.
Expanding the scope of their collaboration, Brixton and KAW Veloce are set to establish a dedicated research and development center in India. This initiative not only underscores their commitment to catering to the unique demands of the Indian market but also positions India as a pivotal export hub for Brixton, serving regions across Southeast Asia and Africa.
Beyond manufacturing, Brixton Motorcycles is laying the groundwork for an extensive dealership network spanning major cities across India. With plans to inaugurate 15 dealerships by the end of 2024 and scale up to 50 by the subsequent year, Brixton aims to ensure widespread accessibility and seamless customer service nationwide.
Anticipation is building for Brixton's debut offering in the Indian market, slated to be an adventure tourer set for a global unveiling later this year. The company plans to synchronize the Indian market launch with the festive season, promising enthusiasts an exhilarating ride experience. Brixton's diverse portfolio encompasses motorcycles ranging from 125cc to 1,200cc in capacity, catering to a broad spectrum of riders.
KAW Veloce Motors, renowned for its prowess in sales, service, and spares, currently represents esteemed brands such as Benelli, Keeway, Moto Morini, and Zontes in the South Maharashtra and North Karnataka regions.
The strategic alliance of Brixton with KAW Veloce Motors, emphasis on the robust roadmap for expansion and innovation. We can look forward to witnessing Brixton Motorcycles carve a distinct niche for itself in India's dynamic two-wheeler market.
