The auto industry saw some new launches from BMW and Skoda while leading car brands Hyundai and MG Motor unleashed their future goals in India.
Last week, India's leading car manufacturing company, Hyundai, began bookings for its upcoming Exter SUV, while Kia unleashed its special edition of the Kia Sonet. MG Motors and Hyundai both disclosed their plans for the Indian market. Premium car brands BMW and Skoda also introduced an SUV car in the domestic market.

Hyundai showcased the exterior of its upcoming SUV car, Exter. With this launch, the carmaker aims to extend its portfolio in the micro SUV segment. The new edition of Kia Sonet was also unveiled in the domestic market. Kia has made some cosmetic changes to its exterior. However, this limited edition didn't notice any technical changes or feature modifications.
Skoda, a premium and luxury car brand, launched its 2023 Kodiaq SUV with BS6 phase-II compliant engine. Further, the company has modified features and technical specifications to make this SUV more efficient.
BMW finally introduced its sportier X3 SUV in the Indian market with a moniker "M40i" inspired design. The SUV will be imported into India as CBU. It will pack a powerful turbo-petrol engine that will deliver 360 PS power. To make it M-specific and sportier, BMW has made many changes and modifications, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 16-speaker sound system from Harman Kardon.
Last week, Hyundai globally shared the facelifted version of the Hyundai i20. It's the third generation i20 hatchback car with some minor design changes to make it look a little sportier. The company has kept a similar design except for new features and fittings.

The Industry leader, Tata Motors, is ready to announce an ex-showroom price for its Altroz CNG series soon. But before that, the company had already delivered Altroz CNG variants at selected dealerships. This CNG car from Tata comes with a 1.2-liter CNG-petrol powertrain and many other attractive features.
MG Motor India announced its five-year roadmap for India to boost its production capacity, sales figure, and growth rate. The company also said to set up another manufacturing facility to increase production capacity and meet the growing car demand. On the other hand, Hyundai also unleashed its 10-year plan to strengthen annual production capacity and launch some new EVs in India.
After months of efforts, India found its first lithium reserve in Jammu and Kashmir. The Geological Survey of India also found the second lithium reserve in Rajasthan. According to sources, India can have the largest lithium reserves in the world, reducing the import burden on the country.
According to recent Energy Transition Advisory Committee reports, diesel cars should be banned by 2027. Although, the concerned government authorities are reviewing this report to figure out key challenges and steps to take.
This week fans also noticed some spy shots of some upcoming launches. These spy shots include two SUVs from the South Korean brand Creta EV and Seltos. Google Map to pack a new feature called Immersive View for Routes. Initially, the feature will be available in the world's 15 cities and can be introduced soon in the coming months.
Royal Enfield, India's leading classic bike manufacturer, also increased the ex-showroom price for RE Super Meteor 650. At the same time, TVS also increased the price of Apache RTR 160 4V. Yamaha launched its YZF-R3 in Japan at 726k JPY, which is also expected to launch soon in the Indian market.
