Citroen is set to launch the C3 Aircross Automatic on January 29, 2024, aiming to expand its market appeal. The automatic variants are already available in dealerships across India. Bookings are open at a nominal Rs 25,000, and deliveries are expected to begin in the second half of the month.
The C3 Aircross is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, generating 108 BHP @ 5,500 rpm and 190 Nm @ 1,750 rpm. The latest addition to the lineup is the 6-speed torque converter automatic, supplementing the existing 6-speed manual transmission.
Visually, the automatic and manual versions share an identical design. The SUV boasts a split headlamp design, piano black grille, fog lamps, blacked-out A and B-pillars, and 4-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels. The interior features a touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and a 3-spoke steering wheel.
The C3 Aircross Automatic is set to compete in the mid-size SUV segment against recently launched models like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara.
Bookings for the Citroen C3 Aircross Automatic have started at selected dealerships in India, allowing prospective buyers to experience test drives before the official launch. With bookings starting at Rs 25,000, deliveries are expected to begin in the second half of the month.
The Citroen C3 Aircross SUV is set to debut next week, with bookings now open at Rs 25,000. The automatic variants are expected to carry a premium of around Rs 1 lakh over manual models. Delivery is expected to begin in the second half of the month, boosting anticipation for the highly anticipated launch.
The automatic transmission is a 6-speed torque converter unit, paired with the SUV's existing 110 PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine.
The interior of the automatic variant mirrors that of the manual version, with the primary difference being the addition of the automatic transmission lever.
Safety features include dual front airbags, hill-hold assist, electronic stability control (ESC), rearview camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The C3 Aircross comes equipped with a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, steering-mounted audio controls, and manual AC with dedicated vents for the third row.
The automatic variants are expected to be priced at a premium of around Rs 1.3 lakh compared to their manual counterparts. Rivals in the market include Honda Elevate, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and MG Astor.
