The Citroën C3 is the French automaker's second model to hit our market, and the French company is carefully presenting it as a B-Segment hatchback with SUV styling cues.
Citroën C3 price in India has finally been revealed. The starting price for the Citroën C3 in India is Rs. 5.71 lakh. Citroen started accepting pre-bookings on July 1. This is the second launch for the French automaker in our market. A while back, we anticipated the C3 to be a small SUV, or Aircross in Citroen's terminology, but in September of last year, the company made it apparent that it is carefully promoting it as a B-Segment hatchback with SUV influences. It's possible to argue that it was a wise choice because it gives the French brand access to a large volume market without necessarily having a specific set of competitors.
| Variant | Price (ex-showroom) ||------------------------------------|---------------------|| 1.2 petrol Live | Rs 5.70 lakh || 1.2 petrol Feel | Rs 6.62 lakh || 1.2 petrol Feel Vibe Pack | Rs 6.77 lakh || 1.2 petrol Feel Dual Tone | Rs 6.77 lakh || 1.2 petrol Dual Tone Vibe Pack | Rs 6.92 lakh || 1.2 Turbo Feel Dual Tone Vibe Pack | Rs 8.05 lakh |
Deliveries of the new C3 will start today from the company's 20 La Maison physical showrooms, according to Citroen. According to the firm, the C3 will also be offered online through its sales channel in 90 cities, with the vehicle being delivered right to the customer's doorstep.
The Citroën C3 is based on Citroen’s C-Cubed platform, which will give rise to a number of new vehicles produced in India. From the elegant chrome accents that stretch from the Chevrons (the brand logo) to the dual-tone treatment with contrast inlays and thick cladding, the automobile exudes the classic Citroen aesthetic. The fact that the car does resemble a baby C5 is a good thing. The car will be available from Citroen in ten exterior color schemes, including dual-tone possibilities, and with a variety of customization options. Sporty alloy wheels and roof rails are a few of the additional features.Also Read: 2022 Citroen C3 SUV: All you need to know
The Citroen C3's interior is well-designed and has two interior trim colors: Anodized Gray and Zesty Orange, with the latter giving a two-tone color scheme. While the air conditioning vents have glossy black bezels identical to those in the C5 Aircross, the dashboard's colorful panel matches the color of the car's exterior. Additionally, customers will have a choice of up to eight seat covers, and a smartphone clamp can be attached here. The C3 also has a 315-liter boot and a 2540 mm wheelbase.
The 10-inch capacitive touchscreen infotainment display on the C3 is one of its standout features. To replicate the display of the driver's smartphone apps like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, it provides the Mirror Screen capability. Along with additional conveniences like a USB charger and a 12V outlet, the car also comes with a flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel.

There are two 1.2-liter Puretech petrol engines available for the Citroen C3. The first one has a naturally aspirated engine that has been tweaked to produce roughly 81 horsepower and is coupled to a five-speed manual transmission. Then there is the 1.2-liter, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine, which is connected to a six-speed manual transmission and produces 108 horsepower and 190 Nm of peak torque. The turbocharged gasoline variant has a 10-second 0-100 kmph time. In terms of fuel economy, the 1.2-liter NA engine achieves 19.8 km/l, while the turbocharged petrol alternative achieves 19.4 km/l.
The new Citroen C3 will compete with vehicles like the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Grand i10 Nios, Tata Punch, and even the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger even though it has no direct rivals in our market.
