Get all the details on the latest Citroen C3 Shine Trim Level, offering added convenience, safety, and style. Find it now at your local dealership.
Citroen has recently launched a new top-spec trim for its best-selling hatchback, the Citroen C3. This exciting new variant promises to deliver an elevated level of luxury and convenience, aimed at those who crave the best in class features and performance. The new Citroen C3 Shine trim is now available in four different variants: the regular Shine, Shine Vibe Pack, Shine DT, and Shine DT Vibe Pack.
Pricing for the new Citroen C3 Shine trim is quite competitive, with a starting price of Rs. 7.6 lakh and going up to Rs. 7.87 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new variant is now available for purchase at Citroen dealerships across the country.
To showcase the exciting new features of the Citroen C3 Shine trim, Anubhav Chauhan, an automotive journalist, recently took a detailed walkaround of the car. He provided an in-depth demonstration of all the latest features and design elements that Citroen has added to make the C3 Shine trim an even more well-rounded product.
The regular Shine variant of the Citroen C3 comes with all the standard features you would expect from a top-spec trim, including a sunroof, LED daytime running lights, and a touchscreen infotainment system. The Shine Vibe Pack variant takes things a step further, adding even more luxury features such as 16-inch alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and automatic climate control.
The Shine DT variant is designed for those who want a sportier look and feel, with features such as black alloy wheels, black side mirrors, and a gloss black roof. The Shine DT Vibe Pack takes this a step further, adding even more sporty features such as sporty decals and a black rear spoiler.
Citroen's C3 Feel trim has been the top-spec offering since its launch. It has garnered much attention for its trendy features, including a horizontally laid-out 10.23" touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wirelessly. Despite its many impressive features, certain essential features and creature comforts were absent. That is where the C3 Shine trim comes in, offering some of those missing features.
The Citroen C3 Shine trim offers electrically adjustable ORVMs and manually dimmable IRVM, adding convenience to the overall driving experience. On the outside, Citroen has provided a rear defogger, a rear washer, and a wiper, making it easier to maintain the car. Along with these features, TPMS, ESP, and hill assist have been added to provide a safety net as well. Diamond-cut 15" alloy wheels further enhance the C3's style quotient.
Telematics is also present in the C3 Shine trim, with over 35 connected car features. However, the car still lacks certain features that are offered by its rivals. These include a tachometer, electrically foldable ORVM, LED headlights, adjustable headrests, a tachometer, and a fully digital instrument cluster, to name a few.
Despite these shortcomings, the C3 Shine trim offers an impressive set of features that address many of the issues present in the C3 Feel trim. With its many upgrades, the C3 Shine trim promises to be a strong contender in the subcompact car segment.
Citroen's C3 is all about offering personalisation options to its customers. The car is available in a total of 10 colours, with four monotone and six dual-tone options available in the palette. The monotone options are Polar White, Zesty Orange, Platinum Grey, and Steel Grey.
On the other hand, the dual-tone options allow customers to choose from a Polar White, Steel Grey, or Platinum Grey body colour, paired with a Zesty Orange or Polar White roof, or a Steel Grey or Platinum Grey body with a Zesty Orange roof. This adds a touch of variety and uniqueness to the car's exterior design.
For those who want to add a bit of flair to their car, the Vibe Pack offers choices between Zesty Orange and Platinum Grey highlights, while the Elegance Pack adds chrome add-ons for a more sophisticated look. On the inside, customers can choose between Anodised Orange and Anodised Grey dashboard trim to match their exterior choices.
Citroen has gone to great lengths to offer its customers a range of customisation options to bring a sense of youthfulness to its segment. With such an extensive range of options available, the C3 is sure to appeal to a broad range of customers who want to make their car stand out from the crowd.
Citroen has made a significant change to its engine lineup for the C3, with the turbocharged engine being taken off the shelf across all trim levels. Instead, the carmaker is offering a sole naturally aspirated version of the 1.2L petrol engine, which is called PureTech 82. This engine generates 82 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
It's worth noting that the PureTech 110 engine will be offered at a later date. But for now, the C3 Shine trim weighs in at 987 kg, which enhances its peppiness and returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 19.3 km/l. The single-tone Shine trim costs Rs. 7.6 lakh, while the Vibe Pack adds an extra Rs. 12,000, and the dual-tone colour option costs Rs. 15,000 more.
Compared to the Feel trim, the Shine trim costs Rs. 52,000 more. However, the added features in the Shine trim, such as electrically adjustable ORVMs, rear defogger, rear washer and wiper, and TPMS, make it a justifiable upgrade and fortify the C3's position against its rivals.
Speaking of rivals, the Citroen C3 faces stiff competition from the likes of Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and the soon-to-be-launched Hyundai Exter. However, with the new Shine trim and its added features, Citroen's popular hatchback is well-equipped to take on the competition in the Indian market.
