Check out Honda Elevate's expected price, pre-bookings and many more.
After much anticipation, Honda's highly awaited compact SUV, the Elevate, has finally made its global debut. Unofficial reservations for this exciting model have already commenced, with a token amount of Rs 21,000 securing one's place in the queue. In terms of pricing, the expected cost of the Honda Elevate in India is around Rs 10.5 lakh.
When it comes to competition, the Honda Elevate will be facing off against several prominent rivals in the compact SUV segment. Key contenders include popular models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and MG Astor.
With each of these vehicles boasting its own unique features and strengths, the competition is set to be intense as they vie for the attention and preferences of SUV enthusiasts.
As the Honda Elevate officially enters the market, it promises to bring its own distinct qualities and innovations, aiming to capture the hearts of customers seeking a compact SUV that offers style, performance, and a host of modern features.
Honda's upcoming Elevate SUV presents an appealing and dynamic design, following the trend set by other compact SUVs. Despite being camouflaged during testing, certain distinguishing features are already discernible.
These include a commanding front fascia characterized by a prominent nose, a robust grille, and an assertive bumper. The sleek headlamps, featuring LED daytime running lights mounted on the top, further contribute to the SUV's striking appearance.
Anticipated top-spec variants of the Elevate SUV are likely to showcase LED headlamps, providing enhanced visibility and a touch of sophistication. The vehicle also exhibits an off-road-inspired aesthetic, evident from its rugged skid plate visible in the outline, along with the presence of substantial body cladding.
The muscular wheel arches and tasteful utilization of chrome accents further contribute to its visually appealing design. Notably, the alloy wheel design bears a resemblance to that of the 5th-generation Honda City, adding a sense of continuity within the brand's lineup.
At the rear, the taillights of the Elevate SUV bear resemblance to those found on the new-generation WR-V, which is available in various Asian markets, including Indonesia. This subtle connection to another Honda model showcases the brand's design language consistency and regional market adaptability.
In response to the robust global demand for SUVs, Honda has developed the Elevate as a new addition to their global model lineup. Carefully designed with a focus on meeting people's lifestyle requirements and their expectations for Honda's latest SUV offering, the Elevate aims to deliver a captivating and well-rounded ownership experience. It is noteworthy that India has been selected as the first market to introduce the Honda Elevate to eager customers.
With an estimated length ranging between 4.2 to 4.3 meters, the SUV is expected to offer a commanding street presence, comparable to other leading compact SUVs in the market. While specific design elements remain undisclosed, the Elevate has the potential to showcase unique and striking features, setting it apart from its competitors.
Furthermore, the SUV is expected to offer a generously proportioned wheelbase, positioning it among the segment's leaders in terms of interior space and ensuring a comfortable and roomy cabin for occupants.
Honda has made the strategic decision to exclude a diesel engine option from the lineup of the Honda Elevate compact SUV. However, there are anticipations of an eventual release of a potent hybrid variant to cater to environmentally conscious customers.
The foundation of the Honda Elevate is based on the proven City platform, ensuring a strong and reliable base for the SUV. Powering the vehicle is a new twin-cam 1.5-litre petrol engine, delivering an impressive output of 121 PS of maximum power and 145 Nm of peak torque. Buyers will have the flexibility to choose between a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic transmission, depending on their driving preferences.
Honda's entry into the compact SUV segment aligns well with the current market trends, as this segment is experiencing rapid growth in India. Leveraging an existing platform allows Honda to optimize production costs while still delivering a competitive and compelling compact SUV offering.
Notably, the target audience for compact SUVs is typically open to embracing new products and experiences, which presents a favourable outlook for Honda's entry into this segment. With its Honda Elevate compact SUV, the company aims to capture the attention and loyalty of this enthusiastic customer base.
The Honda Elevate compact SUV is set to offer a plethora of desirable features, enhancing the overall driving experience. Among these features, buyers can expect to find a panoramic sunroof that allows for an open and airy feel within the cabin, inviting natural light and providing a heightened sense of spaciousness.
In terms of connectivity, the Elevate will come equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, allowing seamless integration with smartphones without the need for physical cables. Additionally, wireless charging capabilities will be available, ensuring convenient charging for compatible devices.
For enhanced comfort, the SUV will offer ventilated front seats, providing a refreshing airflow during hot weather conditions. Automatic climate control will enable precise temperature regulation, allowing occupants to enjoy a comfortable environment throughout the journey. Moreover, the electric driver's chair will provide customizable seating positions, allowing the driver to find their preferred level of comfort and support.
The Honda Elevate will also incorporate advanced technology to aid in parking and manoeuvring. A 360-degree camera system will provide a comprehensive view of the surroundings, simplifying parking in tight spaces and enhancing safety. An engine start/stop button will offer convenient ignition control, allowing for effortless starting and stopping of the vehicle.
To keep up with modern trends, the Elevate will feature connected car technology, enabling remote access and control of certain vehicle functions through a smartphone app. This connectivity allows for added convenience, security, and peace of mind for owners.
Another notable feature of the Elevate is the inclusion of a PM 2.5 air filter, which helps to maintain clean and healthy air quality within the cabin, protecting occupants from harmful particles and allergens. These features represent just a glimpse of the comprehensive list of amenities and technologies that the Honda Elevate compact SUV is expected to offer, ensuring a comfortable, connected, and enjoyable driving experience for all occupants.
